The Behaviour of Low Arsenic Copper Anodes at High Current Density in Electrorefining [PDF]
Arsenic is the only beneficial impurity for copper electrorefining through inhibiting anode passivation and the formation of floating slimes. The behaviour of copper anodes with different content of arsenic were studied at high current density (>280 A/m ...

Copper Cathode Contamination by Nickel in Copper Electrorefining
Nickel behavior has a significant role in the electrorefining of copper, and although it has been extensively studied from the anode and electrolyte point of view over the past decades, studies on nickel contamination at the cathode are limited.

Production of Metallic Titanium by Electrowinning in Molten Salts of Titanium Oxycarbide Anode
The electrochemical behavior of Ti3+ in LiCl-LiF-TiF3 salt was investigated by cyclic and square wave voltammetries at 853 K. Both methods confirm the presence of a single reduction wave of Ti3+ ions to metal, at a potential of −2.3 V vs. Cl2/Cl−.

Electrochemical Properties of NdCl3 and CeCl3 in Molten LiCl-KCl Eutectic Salt
NdCl3 and CeCl3 are characterized by the very close proximity of their standard reduction potentials. Thus, they represent the most challenging salt mixtures with respect to decoupling electrochemical responses and calculating concentrations.
