The Design And Simulation Of Flow Mode Electrorheological Damper [PDF]
Electrorheological (ER) Damper Is A Damper That Utilizes Electrorheological Fluid As The Working Fluid. By Changing The Strength Of Applied Electric Field To The Fluid, The Flow Resistance Of The Fluid Changes And Hence The Damping Characteristic Could ...

New Method to Calculate Electrical Forces Acting on a Sphere in an Electrorheological Fluid [PDF]
We describe a method to calculate the electrical force acting on a sphere in a suspension of dielectric spheres in a host with a different dielectric constant, under the assumption that a spatially uniform electric field is applied.

Static shear modulus of electrorheological fluids [PDF]
We report measurements of the static shear modulus of electrorheological (ER) fluids consisting of water-wetted silica microspheres in silicone oil. A shear-annealing method, using creep-recovery (CR) cycles under an external electric field, is used to enhance ER properties of the fluid.

Structure-Enhanced Yield Stress of Magnetorheological Fluids [PDF]
The yield stress of magnetorheological (MR) fluids depends on the induced solid structure. Since thick columns have a yield stress much higher than a single-chain structure, we improve the yield stress of MR fluids by changing the fluid microstructure ...

Novel technique of vibration minimization during hard machining
This research study examines the performance of electrorheological fluids, also referred to as smart fluids, which have gained popularity because they instantly alter when exposed to an external magnetic or electric field. When high voltage is applied, the ER fluid quickly changes from a viscous liquid to a semisolid state, which is reversible.

Nonlinear ER effects in an ac applied field
The electric field used in most electrorheological (ER) experiments is usually quite high, and nonlinear ER effects have been theoretically predicted and experimentally measured recently.

Generalized noncooperative Schrödinger–Kirchhoff–type systems in RN$\mathbb {R}^N$
Abstract We consider a class of noncooperative Schrödinger–Kirchhof–type system, which involves a general variable exponent elliptic operator with critical growth. Under certain suitable conditions on the nonlinearities, we establish the existence of infinitely many solutions for the problem by using the limit index theory, a version of concentration ...
