Understanding the enhanced electrorheological effect of reduced graphene oxide‐supported polyaniline dielectric nanoplates by a comparative study with graphene oxide as the support core

open access: yesIET Nanodielectrics, 2021
Graphene has attracted scientific interest as a substrate or additive for developing high‐performance stimuli‐responsive materials. Research on graphene‐based polymer dielectric composites has shown an enhanced electroresponsive electrorheological (ER ...

Soft pneumatic gripper integrated with multi‐configuration and variable‐stiffness functionality

open access: yesCognitive Computation and Systems, 2021
Soft grippers are compliant and self‐adaptive, and can be highly compatible with the surrounding environment in grasping tasks. Currently, most soft pneumatic grippers are developed with a single grasping configuration, which leads to poor universality ...

Bio-Inspired Soft Grippers Based on Impactive Gripping. [PDF]

open access: yesAdv Sci (Weinh), 2021
According to movement ways and the classification model inspired by biological “grippers”, the soft grippers are divided into three types: non‐continuum bending‐type grippers, continuum bending‐type grippers, and continuum twisting‐type grippers. For each type of gripper, material properties, device architectures, and manipulation strategies are ...

Research and Application of Vibration Isolation Platform Based on Nonlinear Vibration Isolation System

open access: yesJournal of Sensors, Volume 2023, Issue 1, 2023., 2023
In order to weaken the ground vibration caused by mechanical equipment, a vibration isolation platform of nonlinear vibration isolation system is proposed. The influence of flexible foundation and nonlinear isolator parameters on the performance of nonlinear vibration isolation platform is studied.

Phase transition in electrorheological plasmas

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, Volume 61, Issue 10, November 2021., 2021
Abstract Applying an external electric AC field to a dusty plasma, the micro‐particles arrange in strings or chains. In analogy to electrorheological fluids, such a system is called electrorheological plasma. Turning gradually the AC field into a DC field, the string formation is diminished until it vanishes completely in the DC case.

Physical aspects of dust–plasma interactions

open access: yesContributions to Plasma Physics, Volume 61, Issue 10, November 2021., 2021
Abstract Low‐pressure gas discharge plasmas are known to be strongly affected by the presence of small dust particles. This issue plays a role in the investigations of dust particle‐forming plasmas, where the dust‐induced instabilities may affect the properties of synthesized dust particles. Also, gas discharges with large amounts of microparticles are

Electrorheological polishing performance of cerium-doped titanium dioxide particles

open access: yesFrontiers in Materials, 2022
Electrorheological (ER) polishing as a new type of polishing technique has flexibility and controllability. However, ER polishing cannot be widely used in actual processing because the present ER polishing fluid is usually prepared by simple mixing ...

Influence of the Polarity of the Electric Field on Electrorheometry [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Uniaxial extensional flow is a canonical flow typically used in rheological characterization to provide complementary information to that obtained by imposing simple shear flow.

On More General Fractional Differential Equations Involving Mixed Generalized Derivatives with Nonlocal Multipoint and Generalized Fractional Integral Boundary Conditions

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces, Volume 2020, Issue 1, 2020., 2020
This paper deals with the existence of solutions for a new boundary value problem involving mixed generalized fractional derivatives of Riemann‐Liouville and Caputo supplemented with nonlocal multipoint boundary conditions. The existence results for inclusion case are also discussed.

Advance in investigation on mechanism of electric field treatment for improving the cold flowability of crude oil and its prospect

open access: yesYou-qi chuyun, 2022
High-voltage electric field treatment is an emerging approach to improve the cold flowability of crude oil, of which the physical principle is the negative electrorheological effect of crude oil other than electric heating and electric field dehydration.
