Corona discharge in electrospraying

Journal of Electrostatics, 2014
Abstract The paper presents investigations of current–voltage and light emission characteristics of electrospraying of various liquids in atmospheric air. The spectroscopic measurements have shown that the onset of corona discharge coincides with the onset of electrospraying, with the voltage increasing.

Electrospray ionization–principles and practice

, 1990
Chemistry has its origins as a quantitative science in the careful weighing of products and reactants by Lavoisier and his followers beginning some 200 years ago. Ever since then, the constantly evolving gravimetric balance has been a faithful servant of

Electrospinning/electrospray of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF): piezoelectric nanofibers

, 2015
Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) is one of the most studied polymer systems that exhibits piezoelectric, pyroelectric, and ferroelectric properties. It is well known that PVDF is able to crystallize in four different forms that involve three different ...

Electrospray mass spectrometry of

Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry, 2000
There has been a substantial growth in the application of mass spectrometry (MS) methods for the analysis of inorganic materials, due to the inherent sensitivity of mass spectrometry ionization to the specific composition and structure of the analyzed materials.

ELECTROSPRAYING A NANOPARTICULATE SUSPENSION

International Journal of Nanoscience, 2006
This paper reports an investigation into electrospraying a nanosuspension containing nanoparticles sized at 5 nm and suspended in a polymer grade ethylene glycol. Hence, the processing of this nanosuspension in the stable cone-jet mode having an amorphous silica powder loading of 30 wt.% is elucidated.
