On weighted overpartitions related to sonic q-series in Ramanujan's lost notebook [PDF]
Motivated by certain q-series of Ramanujan, we examine two overpartition difference functions. We give both combinatorial and asymptotic formulas for the differences and show that they are always positive.

Lists, multisets and partitions are fundamental datatypes in mathematics and computing. There are basic transformations from lists to multisets (called "accumulation") and also from lists to partitions (called "matching").

Integer Partitions and Why Counting Them is Hard [PDF]
Partitions are a subject of study in the field of number theory and have been studied extensively since the eighteenth-century mathematician Leonhard Euler\u27s work on them.

Theorems on partitions from a page in Ramanujan's lost notebook [PDF]
On page 189 in his lost notebook, Ramanujan recorded five assertions about partitions. Two are famous identities of Ramanujan immediately yielding the congruences p(5n+4)≡0(mod5) and p(7n+5)≡0(mod7) for the partition function p(n). Two of the identities,

On Elementary Lower Bounds for the Partition Function [PDF]
We present two analogues of two well-known elementary arguments for a lower bound for p(n), the number of partitions of the integer n. One of these is character-theoretic, and the other relies on partition combinatorics developed and used in the theory ...
