Length–Weight Relationships of 13 Native Fish Species in the Yujiang River Basin
The Yujiang River, an important tributary of the Pearl River, flows primarily through Vietnam, Guangxi, and Yunnan in China. This cross‐border watershed supports a remarkable aquatic biodiversity, especially characterized by its unique fish species. In this study, we reported the length–weight relationships (LWRs) of 13 native fish species within the ...

Length–Mass and Length–Weight Relationships of Japanese Freshwater Fishes
Relationships between weights (W, dry weight [DW] and wet weight [WW] and lengths L, standard length [SL], head length [HL], and caudal peduncle depth [CD]) and these between DW and WW were examined in 61 freshwater fishes using formula W = aLb and DW = aWWb, respectively.

Freshwater fishing among Lapita people: The Sleepers (Teleostei: Eleotridae) of Teouma, Vanuatu
The study of the ichthyofaunal corpus yielded by the archaeological site of Teouma, Efate Island, Vanuatu, has revealed the unexpected presence of a significant number of bones of Eleotridae (Sleepers) on the site, as early as 2920-2870 cal. B.P. Out of the 8560 identified fish remains associated with the Lapita layers, which document the period of ...

Molecular evidence of two new species of Eleotris (Gobiiformes: Eleotridae) in the western Atlantic
Fishes of the genus Eleotris present highly conserved morphology, which may make their recognition difficult. Here, two cryptic Eleotris lineages from five locations along the coast of Brazil were identified using the COI gene and two nuclear fragments.
