Inflorescence typology in Eleusine indica and Eleusine tristachya (Poaceae)

Flora, 1997
Summary Inflorescences in E. indica (L.) G aertner and E. tristachya (L am .) L am . are typologically analyzed. In all taxa the inflorescence is polytelic and truncate. Truncation not only affects the main florescence, but also short paracladia, and distal long paracladia.

Studies in Ustilaginales 4. Morphology and Cytology of Tilletia Eleusines on Eleusine Verticillata

Mycologia, 1960
While studying some genera, Entyloma, Melanotaenium and Tilletia of the order Ustilaginales, I came across a species of Tilletia, T. eleusines Syd., on Eleusine verticillata Roxb. in Ajmer (8). Though Tilletia has been studied by Fischer von Waldheim (5), Wolff (18), McAlpine (13), Dastur (4), Tang (16) and Das (3) who have worked out the life history ...

Genetic Improvement in the Genus Eleusine

2016
Eleusine (Poaceae) is a small genus (x = 8, 9, 10) consisting of six diploid and three tetraploid species. Eleusine coracana (finger millet; 2n = 4x = 36) is the only cultivated species of the genus which holds a prominent place in the cropping sequences in semi-arid regions of India, Africa and other South Asian countries.

The genetic map of finger millet, Eleusine coracana

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 2006
Restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP), amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP), expressed-sequenced tag (EST), and simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers were used to generate a genetic map of the tetraploid finger millet (Eleusine coracana subsp. coracana) genome (2n = 4x = 36).
