An Electrically Conducting Water‐based Reversible Adhesive
A water‐based reversible glue is demonstrated. The glue has electrical properties similar to other conducting adhesives but can detach after an alkaline wash. Metal fillers are added to an aqueous mixture of polymer nanoparticles synthesized by emulsion polymerization. The nanoparticles are stabilized by poly(acrylic acid) chains bonded to them. The pH‐

ABSTRACT Background Although NCCN guidelines recommend preoperative therapy for borderline resectable pancreatic cancer (BR‐PC), it is still unclear which regimen is better. The study objective was to elucidate the prognostic significance of neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (NACRT) with gemcitabine/nab‐paclitaxel (GnP‐RT) compared to gemcitabine alone ...

Boundary Layer Ducting of Low-elevation GNSS Ocean Reflected Signals
GNSS reflected signals are able to derive parameters as sea surface roughness, winds, waves, and heights from the spectral measurements. Coming satellite missions as, CYGNSS andGEROS, are focusing on GNSS ocean reflected measurements. Thus, simulation studies, highlighting the assumptions for the data retrievals and the precision and the accuracy, are ...

Using a nationwide Japanese inpatient database, we evaluated whether broad‐spectrum antibiotic prophylaxis improves postoperative outcomes after pancreatoduodenectomy compared with narrow‐spectrum antibiotics. In propensity score–weighted analyses of 45 099 patients, broad‐spectrum prophylaxis was associated with significantly lower rates of intra ...

Emergency cholecystectomy was evaluated in patients with acute cholecystitis classified as non‐recommended for surgery by the Tokyo Guidelines 2018. Major postoperative complications, rather than mortality, better reflected operative risk. Physiological instability, particularly ASA‐PS ≥ 3 and shock status, identified high‐risk patients, suggesting ...
