The opposition and tilt effects of Saturn's rings from HST observations
The two major factors contributing to the opposition brightening of Saturn's rings are i) the intrinsic brightening of particles due to coherent backscattering and/or shadow-hiding on their surfaces, and ii) the reduced interparticle shadowing.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Elevating form and elevating modulation
AbstractThe device known as, among other terms, truck-driver modulation, arranger's modulation and pump-up modulation is an important procedure for popular music, and one that merits a place in the harmony textbook. Emerging from a discussion of nomenclature, this paper proposes the terms of its title, which distinguishes between modulation as part of ...

Actual Grace and the Elevation of the Secular [PDF]
This paper develops and integrates several strands of thought represented in recent contributions that the author has tried to make to the secularization-sacralization debate.1 That debate is both ecclesial and theological, and the two contexts are ...

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Airborne antenna coverage requirements for the TCV B-737 aircraft [PDF]
The airborne antenna line of sight look angle requirement for operation with a Microwave Landing System (MLS) was studied. The required azimuth and elevation line of sight look angles from an antenna located on an aircraft to three ground based antenna ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...
