APPLICATION OF ASYMMETRIC PROFILE IN GEARINGS WITH ECCENTRIC GEARS [PDF]
Gearing was designed to meet specific requirement, during one rotation was continuous change of gear ratio. The gearing consists of two identical gears. The basic shape of the wheel is formed by an ellipse.

On the uniqueness theorem of Holmgren [PDF]
We rereview the classical Cauchy-Kovalevskaya theorem and the related uniqueness theorem of Holmgren, in the simple setting of powers of the Laplacian and a smooth curve segment in the plane.

We explain simple semi-classical rules to estimate the lifetime of any given highly-excited quantum state of the string spectrum in flat spacetime. We discuss both the decays by splitting into two massive states and by massless emission.

The study investigates novel semi‐finished products made of unidirectionally arranged hemp or pineapple leaf fiber‐reinforced composites produced from different matrices. The materials are analyzed in terms of their mechanical and interfacial properties and void content.

We address the problem of how to cover a set of "required points" by a small number of "axis-parallel ellipses" that avoid a second set of "forbidden points". We study geometric properties of such covers and present an efficient randomized approximation algorithm for the cover construction.

The wettability of aluminum droplets (Al) on different copper substrates (Cu), where liquid Al spreads on solid Cu surfaces to form a liquid–solid interface, is studied numerically and experimentally. The experimental and numerical results show good agreement in the fast‐spreading regime.

ASPECTS AND GEOMETRIC INTERPRETATION IN SOLVING CONICAL SECTIONS
In mathematics, a conic is the curve that is obtained by intersecting a plane with a cone. Is well known that the shape of this curve may differ quite a bit depending on the position of the intersection plane relative to the cone axis, as it is actually ...

DERIVING THE EXACT FORMULA FOR PERIMETER OF AN ELLIPSE USING COORDINATE TRANSFORMATION
The ellipse can be transformed into a circle by dilating the coordinates of the ellipse relative to the x-axis and y-axis. Therefore, this study aimed to derive the formula for the equation of the perimeter of an ellipse by using the transformation of an

Nearly circular domains which are integrable close to the boundary are ellipses
The Birkhoff conjecture says that the boundary of a strictly convex integrable billiard table is necessarily an ellipse. In this article, we consider a stronger notion of integrability, namely integrability close to the boundary, and prove a local ...
