Microstructural evolution and hardness optimization along the cross‐section of friction stir welded AA6061/AlSi10MgMn joints, for electric vehicle battery housings, were investigated. Postweld aging between 170°C and 220°C enhances hardness uniformity within the nugget zone.

Parallelized Solution Method of the Three-dimensional Gravitational Potential on the Yin-Yang Grid
We present a new method for solving the three-dimensional gravitational potential of a density field on the Yin-Yang grid. Our algorithm is based on a multipole decomposition and completely symmetric with respect to the two Yin-Yang grid patches.

This study uncovers the unexplored role of intermolecular interactions in multiphoton absorption in coordination polymers. By analyzing [Zn2tpda(DMA)2(DMF)0.3], it shows how the electronic coupling of the chromophores and confinement in the MOF enhance two‐and three‐photon absorption.

Orientation, sphericity and roundness evaluation of particles using alternative 3D representations [PDF]
Sphericity and roundness indices have been used mainly in geology to analyze the shape of particles. In this paper, geometric methods are proposed as an alternative to evaluate the orientation, sphericity and roundness indices of 3D objects.

This study uncovers a new switching mechanism in HfO2 and ZrO2, where the absence of a non‐polar layer along the a‐direction induces interaction between polar layers. Consequently, the switching barriers for growth are lower than those for nucleation in this direction, leading to a size‐dependent coercive field that matches experimental observations ...

Ellipsoidal Methods for Adaptive Choice-Based Conjoint Analysis
Summary: Questionnaires for adaptive choice-based conjoint analysis aim at minimizing some measure of the uncertainty associated with estimates of preference parameters (e.g., partworths). Bayesian approaches to conjoint analysis quantify this uncertainty with a multivariate distribution that is updated after the respondent answers. Unfortunately, this

This study introduces a novel multi‐scale scaffold design using L‐fractals arranged in Archimedean tessellations for tissue regeneration. Despite similar porosity, tiles display vastly different tensile responses (1–100 MPa) and deformation modes. In vitro experiments with hMSCs show geometry‐dependent growth and activity. Over 55 000 tile combinations
