An elliptic triptych [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2017
We clarify three aspects of non-compact elliptic genera. Firstly, we give a path integral derivation of the elliptic genus of the cigar conformal field theory from its non-linear sigma-model description. The result is a manifestly modular sum over a lattice. Secondly, we discuss supersymmetric quantum mechanics with a continuous spectrum.

Understanding Further the Phenotypic Spectrum of Central Nervous System Inflammatory Demyelinating Disorders Using Unsupervised Clustering

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Central nervous system (CNS) inflammatory demyelinating syndromes, including multiple sclerosis (MS), aquaporin‐4 antibody–positive neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (AQP4 + NMOSD), and myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibody–associated disease (MOGAD), occasionally overlap.

Hardware Accelerators for Elliptic Curve Cryptography

open access: yes, 2008
Puttmann C, Shokrollahi J, Porrmann M, Rückert U. Hardware Accelerators for Elliptic Curve Cryptography. Advances in Radio Science. 2008;6:259-264.In this paper we explore different hardware accelerators for cryptography based on elliptic curves ...

Comprehensive Assessment of Arterial, Tissue, and Venous Collaterals for Evaluating the Infarct Growth Rate: The Multimodal Collateral Score

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Collaterals are crucial factors that influence the infarct growth rate (IGR). We aimed to determine whether a comprehensive multimodal collateral score (MCS), incorporating collateral assessment at the arterial, tissue, and venous levels, is associated with functional independence and provides incremental prognostic value over ...

3d $\mathcal{N}=4$ Gauge Theories on an Elliptic Curve

open access: yesSciPost Physics, 2022
This paper studies $3d$ $\mathcal{N}=4$ supersymmetric gauge theories on an elliptic curve, with the aim to provide a physical realisation of recent constructions in equivariant elliptic cohomology of symplectic resolutions.

Elliptic rook and file numbers [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics & Theoretical Computer Science, 2020
In this work, we construct elliptic analogues of the rook numbers and file numbers by attaching elliptic weights to the cells in a board. We show that our elliptic rook and file numbers satisfy elliptic extensions of corre- sponding factorization ...

Elliptic and magneto-elliptic instabilities [PDF]

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2013
Vortices are the fundamental units of turbulent flow. Understanding their stability properties therefore provides fundamental insights on the nature of turbulence itself. In this contribution I briely review the phenomenological aspects of the instability of elliptic streamlines, in the hydro (elliptic instability) and hydromagnetic (magneto-elliptic ...

Plasma EV Proteomics Identifies ECM Remodeling and Inflammatory Proteins LUM and C7 as Candidate Biomarkers in FSHD

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) is one of the most debilitating and common muscular dystrophies. Despite its severity, no approved therapy exists for FSHD patients. However, several therapeutic candidates are currently under development, and some have recently entered clinical trials, marking the need for reliable ...

Uncertainty quantification and weak approximation of an elliptic inverse problem [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We consider the inverse problem of determining the permeability from the pressure in a Darcy model of flow in a porous medium. Mathematically the problem is to find the diffusion coefficient for a linear uniformly elliptic partial differential equation ...

Communication Aspects for a Measurement Based UWB in-Body to on-Body Channel

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2019
A wireless capsule endoscopy (WCE) is a good option for the screening of the digestive system. To better facilitate detection of diseases at an early stage, gastroenterologists seek both higher frame rate and frame resolution than what is offered in the ...
