A note on zeros of $L$-series of elliptic curves [PDF]
In this note we study an analogy between a positive definite quadratic form for elliptic curves over finite fields and a positive definite quadratic form for elliptic curves over the rational number field. A question is posed of which an affirmative answer would imply the analogue of the Riemann hypothesis for elliptic curves over the rational number ...

A novel approach is introduced that leverages polymer phase transitions to modulate brush behavior. The oleophilic bottle brush system exhibits two distinct melting transitions—bulk and surface—enabling a two‐stage swelling and wetting transition.

Periods of elliptic surfaces with $p_g=q=1$
We prove that the period mapping is dominant for elliptic surfaces over an elliptic curve with $12$ nodal fibers, and that its degree is larger than $1$ . This settles the final case of infinitesimal Torelli for a generic elliptic surface.

Primality tests for 2^kn-1 using elliptic curves [PDF]
We propose some primality tests for 2^kn-1, where k, n in Z, k>= 2 and n odd. There are several tests depending on how big n is. These tests are proved using properties of elliptic curves. Essentially, the new primality tests are the elliptic curve version of the Lucas-Lehmer-Riesel primality test.

Alignment, Rising, Sticking, and Phototaxis: Modulating the Behavior of Hematite Micropeanuts
Although a rich variety of behaviors, such as rising and phototaxis, are observed with light‐activated semiconductor microparticles, the experimental conditions under which such behaviors occur have not been elucidated. In this study, pH, fuel concentration, and light intensity are varied, revealing diverse behaviors of hematite microparticles.

On the rank of certain parametrized elliptic curves [PDF]
In this paper the family of elliptic curves over \Q given by the equation E_{p}: Y^2=(X-p)^3+X^3+(X+p)^3 where p is a prime number, is studied. It is shown that the maximal rank of the elliptic curves is at most 3 and some conditions under which we have rank(E_p(\Q))=0 or rank(E_p(\Q))=1 or rank(E_p(\Q))>=2 are given.

This work presents a novel strategy for nanocomposite fabrication that imparts high shear and elongational forces, overcoming the interlayer van der Waals forces within bulk 2D materials and facilitating their exfoliation in elastomers. Additionally, the high shear forces promote effective nanoparticle dispersion and in situ bond formation, leading to ...

Elliptic curves with complex multiplication and $Λ$-structures [PDF]
This thesis examines the relationship between elliptic curves with complex multiplication and Lambda structures. Our main result is to show that the moduli stack of elliptic curves with complex multiplication, and the universal elliptic curve with complex multiplication over it, both admit Lambda structures and that the structure morphism is a Lambda ...

In Situ Manipulation of Growth Mechanisms in the Vapor–Solid–Solid Growth of GaP Nanowires
The direct observation of the Ni‐assisted GaP nanowire growth process via transmission electron microscopy reveals two different growth mechanisms by Trimethylgallium (TMGa) precursor supply variations. The decrease of TMGa flow results in the formation of Ni2P phase as growth promoters with cation exchange reaction in addition to interface diffusion ...
