Mechanically Stable and Tunable Photoactivated Peptide‐Based Hydrogels for Soft Tissue Adhesion

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A collagen‐like peptide hydrogel platform is developed using supramolecular self‐assembly and light‐triggered crosslinking. It creates mechanically stable, tunable hydrogels with cytocompatibility and biodegradability, making them potential soft tissue adhesives.

Searching for traveling wave solutions of nonlinear evolution equations in mathematical physics

open access: yesAdvances in Difference Equations, 2018
This paper deals with the analytical solutions for two models of special interest in mathematical physics, namely the ( 2 + 1 ) $(2+1)$ -dimensional generalized Calogero-Bogoyavlenskii-Schiff equation and the ( 3 + 1 ) $(3+1)$ -dimensional generalized ...

Shaping of Biohybrid Functional Living Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a strategy for shaping living mycelium into functional materials by directing its natural growth. Nanoparticles armor hyphae, micron‐scale particles entangle within the network, and printed hydrogel architectures steer expansion, creating defined geometries.

Thermo‐Mechanically Recyclable Smart Textiles from Circularly Knitted Liquid Crystal Elastomer Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Reprogrammable multi‐material smart textiles knitted from liquid crystal elastomer fibers undergo 2D and 3D deformation under thermal and photo stimuli. Circularly knitted tubular structures reversibly contract in radial and axial directions, enabling autonomous climbing, liquid release, and micro pumping.

Amyloidogenic Peptide Fragments Designed From Bacterial Collagen‐like Proteins Form Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study identified amyloidogenic sequence motifs in bacterial collagen‐like proteins and exploited these to design peptides that self‐assemble into β‐sheet fibers and form hydrogels. One hydrogel supported healthy fibroblast growth, showing promise for biocompatible materials. Our work demonstrates that bacterial sequences can be harnessed to create

Boundary condition of the volume potential for an elliptic-parabolic equation with a scalar parameter

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2018
Using the descent method for the fundamental solution of the heat equation with a scalar parameter, we find the fundamental solution of the multidimensional Helmholtz equation in an explicit form.

The Terminal Domains of Collagen‐Like Silk Direct Molecular Interactions and Liquid–Liquid Phase Separation‐Mediated Material Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Terminal domains of recombinant collagen‐like silk regulate hierarchical self‐assembly across molecular and material scales. We show that terminal domains of collagen‐like silk enhance triple‐helix stability and drive liquid–liquid phase separation, enabling reversible formation of fibers and self‐healing films.

Exact Travelling Wave Solutions for Isothermal Magnetostatic Atmospheres by Fan Subequation Method

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
The equations of magnetohydrostatic equilibria for a plasma in a gravitational field are investigated analytically. An investigation of a family of isothermal magnetostatic atmospheres with one ignorable coordinate corresponding to a uniform ...

Weierstrass elliptic difference equations [PDF]

open access: yesBulletin of the Australian Mathematical Society, 1987
The Weierstrass elliptic function satisfies a nonlinear first order and a nonlinear second order differential equation. It is shown that these differential equations can be discretized in such a way that the solutions of the resulting difference equations exactly coincide with the corresponding values of the elliptic function.

Investigation of Halogen Substitution Effects in π‐Conjugated Organic Ligands of Chiral Hybrid Perovskites on Their Chiroptical Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The role of novel thiophene‐based ligands with halogen substitutions in enhancing the chiroptical and optoelectronic properties of 2D chiral HOIPs has been investigated. By tailoring ligand design, enhanced CD and CPL properties are achieved, with improved CPL discrimination in photodetectors.
