Proceedings of the Workshop “Elliptic Integrable Systems, Isomonodromy Problems, and Hypergeometric Functions” (July 21-25, 2008, MPIM, Bonn, Germany) [PDF]
The present collection includes papers by participants of the workshop ''Elliptic Integrable Systems, Isomonodromy Problems, and Hypergeometric Functions", held at Max Planck Institute for Mathematics in Bonn July 21−25, 2008. The meeting was a satellite

Elliptic Zeta Functions and Equivariant Functions [PDF]
In this paper we establish a close connection between three notions attached to a modular subgroup, namely, the set of weight two meromorphic modular forms, the set of equivariant functions on the upper half-plane commuting with the action of the modular

Harnessing the synergistic interplay of supramolecular self‐assembly, under macromolecular crowding conditions, and enzymatic‐mediated covalent crosslinking toward a stable protein‐based G‐quadruplex‐derived supramolecular bioink. This bioinspired strategy enables the biofabrication of complex and tunable ECM‐mimetic constructs, providing a platform ...

ABSTRACT Microneedle arrays (MNAs) is a rapidly emerging technology with broad biomedical applications in drug delivery and biosensing. With sub‐millimeter dimensions and periodicity, MNAs possess geometries nearly ideal for biomedical devices operating within the terahertz (THz) spectral window.

Higher rank elliptic partition functions and multisymmetric elliptic functions [PDF]
We introduce and investigate a class of glM+1 partition functions which is an extension of the one introduced by Foda-Manabe. We characterize the partition functions by a nested version of Izergin-Korepin analysis, and determine the explicit forms, for ...

Miniature Soft Robot With Magnetically Reprogrammable Surgical Functions
Miniature soft robots have great prospects to revolutionize minimally invasive treatments. Here we present a miniature soft robot, which can be reprogrammed to perform five surgical functionalities with six‐degrees‐of‐freedom motions. This soft robot can prospectively make minimally invasive surgery considerably safer and painless, and enable ...

Gate‐Tunable Floquet Weyl Photon Emission from Topological Dirac Semimetal Cd3As2
We report experimental demonstration of Floquet band engineering in a 3D Dirac semimetal. Circularly polarized light breaks the time reversal symmetry and transforms Cd3As2 into a Floquet–Weyl phase, splitting Dirac nodes into chirality‐opposite Weyl nodes with nonzero Berry curvature.

Algebraic curves, integer sequences and a discrete Painleve transcendent [PDF]
We consider some bilinear recurrences that have applications in number theory. The explicit solution of a general three-term bilinear recurrence relation of fourth order is given in terms of the Weierstrass sigma function for an associated elliptic curve.

Elliptic hypergeometric integrals and elliptic interpolation functions [PDF]
On the basis of a joint work with Masahiko Ito, I report some recent progresses in the study of elliptic hypergeometric functions. I discuss in particular a class of elliptic interpolation functions and its application to the q-difference de Rham theory

Generating Unconventional Spin‐Orbit Torques With Patterned Phase Gradients in Tungsten Thin Films
ABSTRACT A key aim in spintronics is to achieve current‐induced magnetization switching via spin‐orbit torques without external magnetic fields. For this, the focus of recent work has been on introducing controlled lateral gradients across ferromagnet/heavy‐metal devices, giving variations in thickness, composition, or interface quality.
