A Robotic Hand with Soft Transmission Systems for Automated Operations of Computer Mouse

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article introduces a soft robotic hand designed to automate computer mouse operations. Inspired by the water vascular system, the bellows‐enclosed soft transmission system is proposed. This system can handle typical office and gaming tasks using vision and speech commands, holding the potential for applications in office scenes and gaming hardware

Deep‐Learning Model for Central Nervous System Infection Diagnosis and Prognosis Using Label‐Free 3D Immune‐Cell Morphology in the Cerebrospinal Fluid

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
Early diagnosis and prognosis prediction of central nervous system infections are critical. This study introduces a deep‐learning model utilizing cerebrospinal fluid immune‐cell morphology captured via 3D holotomography. The model effectively predicts infection etiology and prognosis, achieving high accuracy.

The Substituent‐Effect in NHCP‐Plumbylenes with a Phosphaplumbene Character

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
The synthesis of aryl‐ and silyl‐substituted NHCP‐plumbylenes is achieved through metathesis reactions. Based on computational studies, the substituent effect and the potential double bond character in these species are discussed. A formal [2+2] cycloaddition at a P−Pb bond demonstrates the synthetic equivalence to double bonds.

Phylogenomics, historical biogeography, and diversification of leaf traits in the Malagasy‐endemic genus Uncarina (Pedaliaceae)

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Botany, EarlyView.
Abstract Premise Uncarina contains 14 species of woody plants endemic to Madagascar. Its occurrence across dryland biomes on the island make it an interesting system to study the diversification of the flora. Methods Using samples of all species and 512 nuclear loci, we reconstructed phylogenetic trees to examine species relationships and assess their ...

Boron‐Based Functional Additives Enable Solid Electrolyte Interphase Engineering in Calcium Metal Battery

open access: yesBatteries &Supercaps, Volume 6, Issue 1, January 2023., 2023
Engineering of Ca‐based SEI using boron‐based additives is investigated and their morphology, composition, and properties are thoroughly characterized. The presence of boron‐crosslinked polymeric matrices in the passivation layer plays a major role allowing for Ca plating.

Using Color to Control Conformation in a Chemical System Containing Multiple Tricyanofuran Photoacids

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
In a solution of two metastable photoacids with contrasting absorption maxima, the solution pH may be control by varying the wavelength of the visible light input. This pH change governs the interaction between the Zn2+ cation and two competing anionic chiral ligands, detected by a change in circular dichroism (CD) spectra.

A Hypoxia‐Triggered Bioreduction of Hydrophilic Type I Photosensitizer for Switchable In Vivo Photoacoustic Imaging and High‐Specificity Cancer Phototherapy

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
A hydrophilic type I phototherapeutic agent (NanoPcN8O) was developed which selectively responded to hypoxic tumor microenvironments and switched on type I photodynamic and photothermal effects as well as a photoacoustic signal for activatable photoacoustic imaging and tumor phototherapy.
