Integrity Performance of Egyptian eLoran System for Maritime Application [PDF]
eLoran is considered as the most promising backup for Global Navigation Satellite System in maritime applications. A proposal study to establish eLoran navigation system for Egyptian maritime harbors is presented to act as an international and national backup to GPS for marine navigation, and other applications using MATLAB.

eLoran Navigation Algorithm Considering Errors Proportional to the Range [PDF]
eLoran is enhanced Loran-C and eLoran is researched for as GPS backup system because this system is resistant to signal interference and has high accuracy. TOA measurements of eLoran include errors proportional to the range such as PF, SF, ASF and EF. Therefore these error factors must be compensated for improved accuracy of position.

Positioning Error Analysis of Ranging‐Mode Using AIS Signals in China
In order to provide resilient position, navigation, and time (PNT) information for E‐Navigation, the ranging‐mode (R‐Mode) positioning using automatic identification system (AIS) signals is encouraged. As the accuracy is the key for the positioning system, this paper investigates the position error of the R‐Mode positioning based on AIS shore‐based ...

Time and Frequency Activities at the U.S. Naval Observatory
The US Naval Observatory (USNO) has provided timing for the navy since 1830 and, in cooperation with other institutions, has also provided timing for the United States and the international community. Its Master Clock (MC) is the source of UTC(USNO), the USNO′s realization of Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which has stayed within 5 nanoseconds RMS ...

In this paper, based on the Huygens–Fresnel principle, we analyse the Loran‐C groundwave path and propose the groundwave path accumulation (GPA) algorithm, which calculates the groundwave transmission path in complex terrain in segments. It can improve the accuracy of Loran‐C users' packet positioning in high‐altitude areas significantly.

A general numerical solution of the IE is presented to predict long‐range low‐frequency groundwave propagation over irregular terrain. The great advantage of the resulting algorithm is that it can freely use non‐uniform grid sizes in the computation area without loss of accuracy.
