Enhancement of EMAT’s efficiency by using silicon steel laminations back-plate [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Silicon steel laminations are introduced as the back-plate to an electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) to increase the efficiency of the EMAT by increasing the magnitude of the EMAT coil's dynamic magnetic field and the eddy current in the sample ...

Wafer‐Scale Synthesis of Molecularly Engineered 2D Covalent Organic Framework Films for Highly‐Sensitive and Rapid‐Response Humidity Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 17, 20 March 2026.
We report molecularly engineered 2D COF films for high‐performance humidity sensors. The developed COFTPT‐THTA ultrathin film features triazine‐functionalized π‐conjugated backbones and high‐density surface hydroxyl groups. This unique architecture facilitates an electron‐proton coupled transport mechanism.

Orthogonal Optimal Design Method for Spiral Coil EMAT Considering Lift-off Effect: A Case Study

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2021
This paper provided a method to improve the conversion efficiency and lessen the lift-off effect of spiral coil electromagnetic acoustic transducer (EMAT) for some specific situations, for example, irregular sample surface, online inspection and varying ...

Epilepsy Phenotypic Spectrum of NUS1‐Related Disorder: A Case Series

open access: yesAnnals of the Child Neurology Society, Volume 4, Issue 1, Page 95-100, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Epilepsy with myoclonic and atonic seizures (EMAtS), also known as Doose syndrome, accounts for 1%–2% of childhood epilepsies, and various genes have been implicated in causing this epilepsy syndrome. NUS1 encodes for Nogo‐B receptor (NgBR), which stabilizes the dehydrodolichyl‐diphosphate synthase complex in the endoplasmic ...

A nearly perfect omnidirectional shear-horizontal (SH) wave transducer based on a thickness poled, thickness-shear (d15) piezoelectric ring

open access: yes, 2017
The fundamental shear horizontal (SH0) wave in plates is of great importance in the field of nondestructive testing (NDT) and structural health monitoring (SHM) since it is the unique non-dispersive guided wave mode.

Tunable and Persistent Macroscopic Polarization in Nominally Centrosymmetric Defective Oxides

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 3, 13 January 2026.
This work introduces an approach to defect‐mediated symmetry breaking and built‐in polarization in nominally centrosymmetric defective oxides, Gd‐doped CeO2‐δ films, by controlling macroscopic charge asymmetry. Electric field‐driven asymmetric redistribution of oxygen vacancies induces a switchable, stable polarization, leading to a notable, persistent

Galactic periodicity and the oscillating G model [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
We consider the model involving the oscillation of the effective gravitational constant that has been put forward in an attempt to reconcile the observed periodicity in the galaxy number distribution with the standard cosmological models.

Halide Perovskite–Chalcohalide Nanocrystal Heterostructures as a Platform for the Synthesis and Investigation of the CsPbCl3–CsPbI3 Epitaxial Interface

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 6, 27 January 2026.
In this work, perovskite–chalcohalide CsPbCl3–Pb4S3Cl2 heterostructures are exploited to study the Cl→I exchange reaction and to isolate new types of intermediate structures, in particular emissive CsPbI3–CsPbCl3–Pb4S3Cl2 heterostructures, with partial I‐alloying of the CsPbCl3 domain and at the perovskite–chalcohalide interface, having a 5.6% lattice ...
