Embedding Graphs into Embedded Graphs [PDF]
A (possibly denerate) drawing of a graph $G$ in the plane is approximable by an embedding if it can be turned into an embedding by an arbitrarily small perturbation. We show that testing, whether a straight-line drawing of a planar graph $G$ in the plane is approximable by an embedding, can be carried out in polynomial time, if a desired embedding of ...

Abstract Many financial instruments are designed with embedded leverage, such as options and leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs). Embedded leverage alleviates investors’ leverage constraints, and, therefore, we hypothesize that embedded leverage lowers required returns. Consistent with this hypothesis, we find empirically that options

Abstract I argue here that the concept of embedding (understood in the mathematical and computer science sense) provides a general way of understanding the relation between generative AI, written language and semiotics, and animal cognition when understood recursively.

Using the embedded defect method, we classify the possible embeddings of a 't Hooft-Polyakov monopole in a general gauge theory. We then discuss some similarities with embedded vortices and relate our results to fundamental monopoles.

In this paper the authors compare the embedding of a compact Riemann surface in its tangent bundle to the embedding as the diagonal in the product. These embeddings are proved to be first, but not second, order equivalent. The embedding of a hyperelliptic curve in its tangent bundle is described in an explicit way.

Mean-field embedding of the dual fermion approach for correlated electron systems [PDF]
To reduce the rapidly growing computational cost of the dual fermion lattice calculation with increasing system size, we introduce two embedding schemes. One is the real fermion embedding, and the other is the dual fermion embedding.

AbstractHow should we account for the contextual variability of knowledge claims? Many philosophers favour an invariantist account on which such contextual variability is due entirely to pragmatic factors, leaving no interesting context-sensitivity in the semantic meaning of ‘know that.’ I reject this invariantist division of labor by arguing that ...

Semi-Supervised Convolutional Neural Network for Law Advice Online
With the rapid developments of Internet technology, a mass of law cases is constantly occurring and needs to be dealt with in time. Automatic classification of law text is the most basic and critical process in the online law advice platform. Deep neural
