Survey of Neural Text Representation Models
In natural language processing, text needs to be transformed into a machine-readable representation before any processing. The quality of further natural language processing tasks greatly depends on the quality of those representations.

We present a discussion of embedded vortices in general Yang-Mills theories. The origin of a family structure of solutions is shown to be group theoretic in nature and a procedure for its determination is developed. Vortex stability can be quantified into three types: Abelian topological stability, non-Abelian topological stability, and dynamical ...

La focalisation des conditionnelles
The aim of this article is to identify the different syntactic modes existing in French to focus if-clauses in constructions such as {if-P, Q}, and {Q if-P}.

In 2013, the authors introduced the notion of \(p\)-extension of rings [Contemporary Mathematics 609, 19--32 (2014; Zbl 1302.13012)]. An extension of rings \(R \hookrightarrow S\) is a \(p\)-extension if for each \(s\in S\) there is an \(r\in R\) such that \(sS = rS\).

Spatial-Aware Object Embeddings for Zero-Shot Localization and Classification of Actions [PDF]
We aim for zero-shot localization and classification of human actions in video. Where traditional approaches rely on global attribute or object classification scores for their zero-shot knowledge transfer, our main contribution is a spatial-aware object ...

Spoken and Sign Language Emergence: A Comparison
A comparison of emerging signed languages and creole languages provides evidence that, when language is emerging, it prioritizes marking the novelty of information; is readily recursive; favors the manner of action (aspect) over the time of action (tense)

LncRNA-Disease Associations Prediction Based on Neural Network-Based Matrix Factorization
Numerous experiments have demonstrated that long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) play an important role in various systems of the human body. LncRNA deletions or mutations can cause human disease. The prediction of lncRNA-disease associations is conducive to the

In this paper we study {\em terminal embeddings}, in which one is given a finite metric $(X,d_X)$ (or a graph $G=(V,E)$) and a subset $K \subseteq X$ of its points are designated as {\em terminals}. The objective is to embed the metric into a normed space, while approximately preserving all distances among pairs that contain a terminal.
