The Observable Representation

open access: yesEntropy, 2019
The observable representation (OR) is an embedding of the space on which a stochastic dynamics is taking place into a low dimensional Euclidean space. The most significant feature of the OR is that it respects the dynamics.

On Kaplansky’s embedding theorem

open access: yesAnnales Polonici Mathematici
Let R be a complete equicharacteristic noetherian local domain with an algebraically closed residue field k. Let ν be a zero-dimensional valuation centered in R with value group Φ. We prove that if the value semigroup Γ=ν(R∖{0}) of the valuation is finitely generated or the valuation is of rank 1, the valuation ν is the restriction, via an embedding R ...

Untangling Brain-Wide Dynamics in Consciousness by Cross-Embedding.

open access: yesPLoS Computational Biology, 2015
Brain-wide interactions generating complex neural dynamics are considered crucial for emergent cognitive functions. However, the irreducible nature of nonlinear and high-dimensional dynamical interactions challenges conventional reductionist approaches ...

Carleson embeddings

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 1996
In this paper we discuss several operator ideal properties for so called Carleson embeddings of tent spaces into specific L q(μ)-spaces, where μ is a Carleson measure on the complex unit disc.

Subnormal Embedding Theorems for Groups [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, 2000
In this paper we establish some subnormal embeddings of groups into groups with additional properties; in particular embeddings of countable groups into 2-generated groups with some extra properties. The results obtained are generalizations of theorems of P. Hall, R. Dark, B. Neumann, Hanna Neumann, G. Higman on embeddings of that type.

Graph topologies on closed multifunctions

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2003
In this paper we study function space topologies on closed multifunctions, i.e. closed relations on X x Y using various hypertopologies. The hypertopologies are in essence, graph topologies i.e topologies on functions considered as graphs which are ...

Fourier Multipliers on Triebel-Lizorkin-Type Spaces

open access: yesJournal of Function Spaces and Applications, 2012
The authors study the mapping properties of Fourier multipliers, with symbols satisfying some generalized Hörmander's condition, on Triebel- Lizorkin-type spaces and Triebel-Lizorkin-Hausdorff spaces.

Nagata's embedding theorem

open access: yes, 2007
In 1962-63, M. Nagata showed that an abstract variety could be embedded into a complete variety. Later, P. Deligne translated Nagata's proof into the language of schemes, but did not publish his notes. This paper, which is to appear as an appendix in a forthcoming book, gives an elaboration of Deligne's notes.

The Embedding Theorem

open access: yes, 2012
In this work, it is shown that the category XMod/P of crossed modules over fixed group P is an exact category and the complete proof of the embedding theorem of XMod/P into a set valued functor category is given.

Spaces whose Pseudocompact Subspaces are Closed Subsets

open access: yesApplied General Topology, 2004
Every first countable pseudocompact Tychonoff space X has the property that every pseudocompact subspace of X is a closed subset of X (denoted herein by “FCC”).
