Substance use patterns, quantities, and associated risk factors in women with polysubstance misuse

We established a unique method to quantify polysubstance use (PSU) units across drug types and found that PSU days and quantities were high amongst regular substance‐using women. Daily and overall quantities and frequencies in 30‐day and 90‐day periods were predicted by life stress/trauma and drug craving but not by pain, anxiety, or depression scores.
