Carbon Emissions Embodied in the International Trade of China

Advanced Materials Research, 2010
This paper used input-output table and the energy consumption data by sector to estimate the effect of international trade on carbon emissions of China in 2007. The result shows that international trade has played a great part in increasing China’s carbon emissions.

Estimating the embodied carbon emissions from the material content

Energy Conversion and Management, 1997
The embodied carbon emissions includes the direct and indirect carbon emitted for the entire production process. These values are needed to estimate impacts on carbon emissions due to changes in consumption patterns. We have developed a model of the economic system to account for every production process.

Embodied Energy and Carbon Emissions of Pavements: A Review

2019
Energy consumption takes place at each stage of pavement construction, right from extraction of raw materials to finished products like roads. Carbon emission is an undesirable product that materializes simultaneously with energy consumption that is indispensable right through the construction activities.

Carbon emissions embodied in Russia's trade

2015
According to current international climate change regime countries are responsible for greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which result from economic activities within national borders, including emissions from producing goods for exports. At the same time imports of carbon intensive goods are not regulated by international agreements.

Carbon Dashboard for Real-Time Embodied Emissions Tracking

The American Journal of Interdisciplinary Innovations and Research
A large proportion of the worldwide emissions caused by greenhouse gases is attributed to the construction sector and the manufacturing industry, with much of it related to embodied carbon or emissions associated with the extraction of materials, their production, transportation, and assembly. This paper involves the conceptualization and validation of

Carbon Dioxide Emissions Embodied in International Trade of Goods

OECD Science, Technology and Industry Working Papers, 2003
Efforts such as the Kyoto Protocol to reduce emissions that may be linked to climate change focus on six greenhouse gases (GHG). Carbon dioxide is by far the largest of these by volume, representing about 80% of the total emissions of these six gases. Almost all carbon dioxide is emitted during the combustion of fossil fuels and OECD countries account ...
