Non stationary nucleation: the model with averaged velocity [PDF]
A new model to calculate the rate of nucleation is formulated. This model is based on the classical nucleation theory but considers also vapor depletion around the formed embryo. The key characteristic which arises in frames of this theory is the mean time of the embryo formation.

Summary: Background: the immune system differentiates between the endogenous and exogenous bodies that inter the body. The break-down of blood-testis barrier results in the production of antisperm antibodies. This may occur in the case of an infection to

Dynamic reprogramming of DNA methylation in the early mouse embryo.
Dynamic epigenetic modification of the genome occurs during early development of the mouse. Active demethylation of the paternal genome occurs in the zygote, followed by passive demethylation during cleavage stages, and de novo methylation, which is ...

Media Supplementation With Gamma‐Oryzanol Improves the Outcome of Ovine Oocyte Maturation In Vitro
Background The process of maturing ovine oocyte in vitro has not yet been raised with acceptable results. Objective This study was designed to evaluate the γ‐oryzanol effect as a supplement of maturation media on the development of ovine oocytes to ...

Actomyosin polarisation through PLC-PKC triggers symmetry breaking of the mouse embryo
The molecular trigger that establishes cell polarity in the mammalian embryo is unclear. Here, the authors show that de novo polarisation of the mouse embryo at the 8-cell stage is directed by Phospholipase C and Protein kinase C and occurs in two phases:
