Excess Ca2+ ions activate the Calcium‐Sensing Receptor (CaSR), which subsequently drives the uptake of excess inorganic phosphate (Pi) via the Pi transporter (Pit−1) in chondrocytes. This mechanism causes a toxic increase in intracellular Pi concentration, ultimately leading to chondrocyte apoptosis and pathological mineralization. Excess extracellular

ABSTRACT Objective Paroxysmal kinesigenic dyskinesia (PKD) is the most common hereditary paroxysmal movement disorder. The PRRT2 gene is the first identified causative gene and accounts for the majority of PKD. In this study, we investigated the pathogenicity of PRRT2 variants in the splice regions. Methods Patients with clinically suspected PKD and no

β‐Catenin/c‐Myc Axis Modulates Autophagy Response to Different Ammonia Concentrations
Ammonia, detoxified by the liver into urea and glutamine, impacts autophagy differently at varying levels. Low ammonia activates autophagy via c‐Myc and β‐catenin, while high levels suppress it. Using Huh7 cells and Spf‐ash mice, c‐Myc's role in cytoprotective autophagy is revealed, offering insights into hyperammonemia and potential therapeutic ...

The Embryo Sac and Embryo of Gnetum gnemon [PDF]
1. The "antipodal tissue" described by Lotsy as occurring in Gnetum Gnemon at the fertilization stage is a sharply differentiated nutritive tissue developed in the nucellus beneath the embryo sac, which at this stage contains only free nuclei, as described for other species of Gnetum. 2.

LIN28B Promotes Cancer Cell Dissemination and Angiogenesis
Children diagnosed with high‐risk neuroblastoma have a 5‐year event‐free survival rate of less than 50% and poor outcomes after recurrence. Deregulation of the LIN28B oncogene can be addressed in these patients. Upregulation of LIN28B is shown to support the metastatic cascade.

Embryo biopsy: the fate of abnormal pronuclear embryos
This study assessed 1908 embryos, including those with abnormal numbers of pronuclei, in IVF cycles from July 2001 to December 2006 in which preimplantation genetic screening (PGS) was performed on day 3 post-retrieval and 'euploid' embryos transferred the following day.

Loss of Stat3 in Prx1+ Progenitors Impairs Molar Root Development
Stat3 critically regulates mandibular first molar and alveolar bone morphogenesis. Conditional ablation of Stat3 disrupts the osteogenic capacity of Prx1+ mesenchymal progenitors, as evidenced across in vivo and in vitro models. Abstract Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (Stat3) acts as a central transcriptional modulator coordinating ...
