Objective This study aimed to characterize the pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, safety, and exploratory efficacy of subcutaneous belimumab in pediatric patients with active systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) receiving standard therapy. Methods This single‐arm, multicenter, open‐label trial (GSK study 200908; NCT04179032) used three‐weight‐band ...

Objectives Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies. To help patients and providers in the decision‐making process, we developed

US emergency management: the Townsend report and its critics [PDF]
What these separate reports and criticisms indicate is that the government needs to have a fully independent investigation about what went wrong with the Katrina response; one that is not controlled by the Administration.

This study investigates the photosensitizing potential of Passiflora cincinnata in Antimicrobial Photodynamic Therapy (aPDT) against skin infection caused by Methicillin‐resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) in a senescent murine model. The P. cincinnata exhibits antimicrobial activity, with reduced bacterial load, lower leukocyte infiltration, and ...

Fabrication‐Directed Entanglement for Designing Chiral and Anisotropic Metamaterial Foams
This work introduces fabrication‐directed entanglement (FDE), combining viscous thread printing and topology optimization to program entangled foams with spatially patterned stiffness. By tuning coil density, FDE enables anisotropy, programmable Poisson's ratio, and chirality in foams.

The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.

Safety management of a complex R and D ground operating system [PDF]
A perspective on safety program management was developed for a complex R&D operating system, such as the NASA-Lewis Research Center. Using a systems approach, hazardous operations are subjected to third-party reviews by designated-area safety committees ...

Nano‐Patterned CuO Nanowire Nanogap Hydrogen Gas Sensor with Voids
Sub‐5‐ppb hydrogen (H2) detection and sub‐10‐s response and recovery times are achieved based on nano‐patterned polycrystalline CuO nanowires nanogap gas sensors with voids using electron‐beam lithography and unique annealing processes. Pre‐H2 annealing, void‐generating oxidation, and downscaled nanogap electrodes are key to improving the sensing ...
