Targeted Multifunctional Fluorine‐Rich Copolymer Coating Design for Ambient‐Stable Prelithiated SiOC Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A fluorine‐rich acrylate copolymer, poly (tridecafluorooctyl methacrylate‐co‐methyl methacrylate) (PFMMA), is introduced as a multifunctional protective coating to stabilize the prelithiated SiOC electrodes in humid conditions and preserve unimpeded interfacial ion/charge transport during redox reactions.

Probing Electrocatalyst Design for Product Selectivity in CO2 Reduction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Selective CO2 electroreduction is controlled by catalyst structure, dynamic surface reconstruction, adsorbate interactions, and reaction microenvironment. This review summarizes Cu‐ and non‐Cu‐based catalysts, single‐atom and molecular systems, degradation pathways, and operando/computational strategies for steering CO2RR toward hydrocarbons ...

Wake‐Up and Fatigue under Electrical Cycling in HfO2‐Based Ferroelectrics: Mechanisms and Strategies toward Reliable Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
HfO2‐based ferroelectrics exhibit wake‐up and fatigue behaviors during electrical cycling, significantly affecting device endurance and reliability. These phenomena are governed by defect dynamics, including oxygen vacancy redistribution and charge trapping.

Emergency medical technician-paramedic training

Journal of the American College of Emergency Physicians, 1976
With a nationally standardized emergency medical technician-paramedic training program soon to be adopted, certain factors in the planning of training programs should be emphasized. (1) The facilities should provide an opportunity for the paramedics to gain clinical experience in intensive care units and emergency departments.

Psychological training of emergency medical technicians: An evaluation

American Journal of Community Psychology, 1984
One of the strategies in community psychology for expanding mental health manpower has been to identify groups of individuals at the "psychological frontlines" and to train them in psychological intervention skills (Bard, 1976; Cowen, 1982). Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) may be such a group because they respond immediately to unpredictable ...

Cost-effectiveness of defibrillation by emergency medical technicians

The American Journal of Emergency Medicine, 1988
Effective emergency systems using emergency medical technicians (EMTs) trained to defibrillate or paramedics can save more lives from out-of-hospital cardiac arrest due to ventricular fibrillation than can emergency systems staffed with basic EMTs who cannot defibrillate.
