EMERGENCY RESCUE PARACHUTES IN HELICOPTERS

Abstract : The study evaluated the present emergency rescue parachutes in Army helicopters. An investigation was conducted with each emergency rescue parachute to determine compatibility with cockpit geometry and seat design. Compatibility of the aircrew protective armor and overwater survival kit with the emergency rescue parachutes was also tested.
