1964Abstract : Experiments were conducted to show which particle sizes of fallout falling from altitudes of 10,000 feet or more would be drawn into a typically protected shelter air intake. THERMOELECTRIC-GENERATOR SYSTEMS FOR EMERGENCY SHELTERS
1964Abstract : A study was conducted to determine the feasibility of using small flame-activated thermoelectricgenerator systems to provide power for lighting small emergency shelters. Such systems were found feasible, and costs for a family-size and a 100-man shelter are given. Comparative merits and costs of other suitable systems are also given.
