3D Mechanical Confinement Directs Muscle Stem Cell Fate and Function

open access: yesAdvanced Biology, EarlyView.
This study reveals that the physical environment surrounding muscle stem cells (MuSCs) plays a crucial role in their function. Using a 3D hydrogel system, it shows that increased confinement preserves MuSC stemness by limiting activation, proliferation, and differentiation.

Predicting Treatment Response in Body Dysmorphic Disorder with Interpretable Machine Learning [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD) is a highly prevalent and frequently underdiagnosed condition characterized by persistent, intrusive preoccupations with perceived defects in physical appearance. In this extended analysis, we employ multiple machine learning approaches to predict treatment outcomes -- specifically treatment response and remission -- with

Determining the Necessity of Post‐Processing Heat Treatment for the 316L Stainless Steel Manufactured by Laser Powder Bed Fusion through Evaluation of Mechanical and Corrosion Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This article examines the effect of postprocessing heat treatment on 316L stainless steel (SS316L) produced via laser powder bed fusion (LPBF). Heat treatment slightly affects property anisotropy, reduces strength, and enhances elongation. However, it increases corrosion susceptibility due to nanoscale precipitations, though overall corrosion ...

Development of a Large Language Model-based Multi-Agent Clinical Decision Support System for Korean Triage and Acuity Scale (KTAS)-Based Triage and Treatment Planning in Emergency Departments [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv
Emergency department (ED) overcrowding and the complexity of rapid decision-making in critical care settings pose significant challenges to healthcare systems worldwide. While clinical decision support systems (CDSS) have shown promise, the integration of large language models (LLMs) offers new possibilities for enhancing triage accuracy and clinical ...

Strategy and tactics of emergency treatment of atrial fibrillation: a modern approach to the problem

open access: yesКардиоСоматика, 2015
Atrial fibrillation (AF) is the most common tachyarrhythmiac detection which in the general population is 1.0-2.0%. It is the cause of 20% of all strokes, associated with an increase in mortality and the risk of chronic heart failure. Paroxysms are often
