The EMF Model Transformation Framework [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
We present the EMF Model Transformation framework (EMT), which supports the rule-based modification of EMF models. Model transformation rules are defined graphically and compiled into Java code to be used in model transformation ...

Evaluation of Ocimum basilicum Effects on Uterus Apoptosis in Rats Exposures in Electromagnetic Fields

open access: yesJournal of Medicinal Plants, 2010
Background: In the industrial world, almost everyone is unavoidably exposed to ambient electromagnetic field (EMF) generated from various technical and household appliances. Objective: Controversy exists about the effects of EMF on various tissues of the

Composition‐Tuned Enhancement of the Anomalous Nernst Effect in FeCo–Pt Thin Films on Rigid and Flexible Substrates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Disordered (Fe50Co50)1−xPtx thin films exhibit a pronounced anomalous Nernst effect (ANE) with a strong composition dependence on both rigid and flexible substrates. The transverse thermoelectric response peaks near 22.5 at.% Pt, accompanied by enhanced αxy/σxy scaling, thermal transport, and ANE sensitivity.

Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Field

open access: yesAdvances in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, 2004
Biological effects of electromagnetic field (EMF) are still under discussion. Some effects (negative and positive too) are not exactly clear. This paper is talking about possible biological effects and influences of EMF.

EMF exposure shortens circadian period.

open access: yes, 2014
Representative free-running locomotor rhythms in dim blue, constant LL before and during the exposure to EMF (300 µT, 3 Hz). A. Exposed Canton-S flies showed a significant period shortening compared to sham. B. cry02 flies did not show any EMF effect and

Low‐Angle Grain Boundaries and Re‐Segregation in Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Base Superalloys

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that Re‐segregation at low‐angle grain boundaries (LAGBs) in Ni‐base superalloys is influenced by misorientation angle. Advanced microscopy and atom probe tomography reveal that higher misorientation angles increases Re‐segregation.

General Practitioners Using Complementary and Alternative Medicine Differ From General Practitioners Using Conventional Medicine in Their View of the Risks of Electromagnetic Fields

open access: yesJournal of Primary Care & Community Health, 2015
Objective: General practitioners (GPs) play a key role in consulting patients worried about health effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF). We compared GPs using conventional medicine (COM) with GPs using complementary and alternative medicine (CAM ...

Casimir EMF

open access: yes, 2014
In the present paper, it is shown that the existence of the Casimir electromotive force (EMF) is possible in nanosized configurations with nonclosed nonparallel metal plates. The nature of such EMF is associated with the drag current generation at the noncompensated Casimir action of virtual photons on the electrons in the nano-configurations.

Productivity‐Driven Optimization of Laser Powder Bed Fusion Parameters for IN718 Superalloy: Process Control, Microstructure, and Mechanical Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates how optimizing laser power, scanning speed, and hatching distance in laser powder bed fusion can boost the productivity of Inconel 718 manufacturing by up to 29% while maintaining mechanical integrity. The work delivers a validated process window and cost–time analysis, offering industry‐ready guidelines for efficient additive ...

Pyramidal Structures on Yttria‐Stabilized Zirconia after High Temperature Exposure at 1500°C: New Features on an Old Material

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
New features on yttria‐stabilized zirconia after exposure at 1500°C: Newly discovered pyramidal structures on an old material. After exposure at 1550°C on the cross section of YSZ new features, namely pyramidal structures are discovered. These structures grow with time, increase in numbers, appear as singularities, are often arranged in strings, and ...
