Microsphere‐Templated Conductive Syntactic Foams for Recyclable and Additively Manufactured Soft Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a microsphere‐templated strategy to fabricate reprocessable PEDOT:PSS syntactic foams with tunable porosity, stable conductivity, and 3D printability. In situ PEDOT:PSS coatings create a conductive network that maintains electrical performance at high void fractions.

EMG-informed neuromusculoskeletal models accurately predict knee loading measured using instrumented implants

open access: yes, 2021
We investigated three different methods for simulating neuromusculoskeletal (NMS) control to generate estimates of knee joint loading which were compared to in-vivo measured loads.

Neuromorphic Electronics for Intelligence Everywhere: Emerging Devices, Flexible Platforms, and Scalable System Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The perspective presents an integrated view of neuromorphic technologies, from device physics to real‐time applicability, while highlighting the necessity of full‐stack co‐optimization. By outlining practical hardware‐level strategies to exploit device behavior and mitigate non‐idealities, it shows pathways for building efficient, scalable, and ...

Analysis of the dynamics of emg signal indicators

open access: yes, 2022
We analyzed EMG signals obtained by examining the long extensor of the trunk at the level of the lumbar spine (L4-L5 vertebrae) from 4 groups: 1 – healthy, 2 – healthy with pain, 3 – vertebrological, 4 – scoliosis.

The role of the neuromuscular control mechanism in motor output : do individuals share muscle activation features? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Although walking is a constrained movement, there is variation in the muscle recruitment patterns. The processed wavelet-based electromyogram (EMG) [von Tscharner (2000)] signals indicated that the task structure contained in walking doesn’t prescribe ...

High-Specificity Digital Architecture for Real-Time Recognition of Loss of Balance Inducing Fall

open access: yesSensors, 2020
Falls are a significant cause of loss of independence, disability and reduced quality of life in people with Parkinson’s disease (PD). Intervening quickly and accurately on the postural instability could strongly reduce the consequences of falls ...

Leaf‐Inspired Eutectic Skin With Extreme Fatigue Resistance and Robust Wet Adhesion for Amphibious Epidermal Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Inspired by Acorus calamus leaves, a heterogeneous eutectic skin integrates an aligned fibrous network within a hydrophobic eutectogel matrix. This hierarchical architecture triggers strain‐induced crystallization to achieve exceptional mechanical toughness and durable wet adhesion.
