Bounce Resonance Between ULF Waves and Electrons in the Dayside Outer Magnetosphere
Abstract Resonant interactions between ultra‐low‐frequency (ULF) waves and particles are critical for energy transfer in the Earth's magnetosphere, and have been extensively investigated in the inner magnetosphere. However, resonant processes between ULF waves and electrons in the dayside outer magnetosphere remain largely unexplored.

Effects of EMIC wave-driven proton precipitation on the ionosphere
This archive contains data files from two simulations of the coupled ring current-ionosphere model (the Ring current Atmosphere interactions Model with Self Consistent magnetic and electric field (RAM-SCBE) and the GLobal airglOW model (GLOW)). These simulations and observations were performed for and used in the paper “Effects of EMIC wave-driven ...

Abstract We report a rare quiet‐time observation by NOAA‐18 spacecraft flying nearly along the electron isotropy boundary (IBe). Complemented by data from four nearby meridional IBe crossings of other POES spacecraft, this case study provides a novel quantitative information concerning the regular energy dependence of the loss‐cone filling ratio (Jprec/

Beam effect on electromagnetic ion-cyclotron waves with general loss – cone distribution function in an anisotropic plasma-particle aspect analysis [PDF]
The effect of upgoing ion beam and temperature anisotropy on the dispersion relation, growth rate, parallel and perpendicular resonant energies, and marginal instability of the electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) waves, with general loss-cone ...

EMIC waves and plasmaspheric and plume density: CRRES results [PDF]
Abstract Electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) waves frequently occur during geomagnetic storms, specifically during the main phase and 3–6 days following the minimum S y m − H value.

ABSTRACT The OECD's first Survey on Social and Emotional Skills (SSES) in 2019 assessed 10‐ and 15‐year‐olds across ten cities, employing a framework of 15 skills organized into five dimensions aligned with the Big Five personality traits. While this adult‐derived model offers a parsimonious structure for measuring social–emotional skills, its ...

Saturation Characteristics of Parallel EMIC Waves in the Inner Magnetosphere
AbstractIn this letter, detailed evolution process of parallel electromagnetic ion cyclotron waves in the inner magnetosphere has been investigated through quasilinear theory. A new saturation has been found to occur after the usual first saturation.

An oscillator model representative of electron interactions with EMIC waves [PDF]
Nonlinear interactions of relativistic electrons with a monochromatic electromagnetic ion cyclotron (EMIC) wave were investigated in previous studies by solving the Lorentz equation for test particles. In the present study, we simplify the Lorentz equation to a set of oscillator equations, which capture the key features of the wave‐particle interaction.

Abstract The afternoon detached auroral arc is an important phenomenon in the subauroral region, reflecting coupling processes between the Earth's magnetosphere and ionosphere. Previous studies have not identified fine‐scale structures in such arcs, leaving the dynamics underlying their formation poorly understood.
