Virtuelle Kalibrierung von Motorsteuergeräten mittels Hardware-in-the-Loop Simulationen

open access: yes, 2023
The aim of this work is to elaborate a new simulation-based development methodology, virtual calibration, for the development of modern mobile propulsion and vehicle systems. Hardware-in-the-loop(HiL) simulation is a well-established testing environment.

First negative system of N2+ in aurora: simultaneous space-borne and ground-based measurements and modeling results [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2014
The auroral emission of the first negative system of N2+ at 427.8 nm is analyzed using simultaneous measurements from the ground with ALIS (Auroral Large Imaging System) and from space with optical (MAC) and particle (ESA) instruments of the Reimei ...

Salmonella lipopolysaccharide‐containing supported lipid bilayers as platforms to study bacteriophage interactions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present robust protocols for the preparation of supported lipid bilayers (SLBs) incorporating either Salmonella smooth LPS or outer membrane vesicles (OMVs). We use a combination of quartz crystal microbalance with dissipation (QCM‐D) and fluorescence microscopy to both characterize the SLBs of various compositions and to probe their interactions ...

Fluorescence Spectra of Prototropic Forms of Fluorescein and Some Derivatives and Their Potential Use for Calibration-Free pH Sensing

open access: yesSensors
Fluorescence pH sensing has proven to be efficient but with the drawback that molecules photobleach, requiring frequent calibrations. Double-emission peak molecules allow ratiometric measurements and theoretically avoid calibration.

Radiometric Degradation Curves for the ASTER VNIR Processing Using Vicarious and Lunar Calibrations

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2020
The Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflection Radiometer (ASTER) onboard Terra platform, which was launched in 1999, has three separate subsystems: a visible and near-infrared (VNIR) radiometer, a shortwave-infrared radiometer, and a thermal ...

Raman‐based label‐free microscopic analysis of the pancreas in living zebrafish larvae

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Forward stimulated Raman scattering (F‐SRS) and epi coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (E‐CARS) allow label‐free discrimination of distinct subcellular structures in the pancreas of living zebrafish larvae. Given the straightforward applicability, we anticipate broad implementation of Raman microscopy in other organs and across various biomedical ...

VIIRS thermal emissive bands L1B calibration uncertainty [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (IGARSS), 2017
The Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) is a key instrument on-board the Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (S-NPP) spacecraft. The S-NPP launched in October 2011 and it has been collecting valuable Earth science data with VIIRS and four other instruments for more than five years.

Systemic dysregulation of apolipoproteins in amyotrophic lateral sclerosis serum

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal disease that damages motor neurons. This study found that people with ALS show significant changes in blood fats and the proteins that carry them. Several apolipoproteins were higher, lipid balances were altered, and normal protein–lipid relationships were disrupted.
