Classification of Wolf–Rayet Stars from LAMOST DR10

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Supplement Series
Wolf–Rayet (WR) stars are highly evolved descendants of the most massive initial stellar populations, serving as essential tracers in stellar evolution. Despite the progress made in their study, a more comprehensive population census is still required to

HR 4049: A Spectroscopic Analysis of a Post-AGB Object

open access: yesGalaxies
A new spectroscopic study of HR 4049, a post-AGB star in a binary system, based on échelle spectra taken between 2019 and 2025 with the 0.81 m telescope of the Three College Observatory (North Carolina, USA) at a resolution of R ≈ 12,000 is reported.

On the nature of early-type emission line objects in NGC6611 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The number and the nature of emission line stars in the young open cluster NGC6611 is still the object of debates. Due to the presence of a strong and variable nebulosity in the cluster, the number of emission line stars is highly depending on the ...

PBF‐LB/M of Ti‐6Al‐4V: High‐Pressure Solution Treatment and Aging for Applications in a Sustainable Aerospace

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Additive manufacturing (AM) allows great geometric freedom for lightweight components. As parts are progressively optimized exploiting potentials in AM leading in smaller material cross sections, high pressure solution treating and aging (STA) treatments show an enormous potential for strongly improving material properties.

Empirical Prediction of Plasma Emission Measure Distributions and X-Ray/Extreme-ultraviolet Spectra of Late-type Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
High-energy emission spectra from the outer atmospheres of late-type stars represent an important feature of the stellar activity in several contexts, such as the photoevaporation and photochemistry of planetary atmospheres or the modeling of irradiated ...

Manufacturing Continuous Fiber‐Reinforced Printing Filaments: Development of a Post‐Consolidation Unit

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A novel, temperature‐controlled post‐consolidation unit is developed to test its potential to improve the melt impregnation process used to manufacture continuous fiber‐reinforced filaments for additive manufacturing of high‐performance thermoplastics.

A Study of Emission Lines in Carbon Stars

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
Carbon stars are chemically peculiar stars with high carbon abundance, showing strong carbon molecule bands and rare emission lines in their spectra. This paper explores the stellar activity of carbon stars by identifying emission line features in their ...

Interaction between Molten Al‐Killed Mn–B Steel and Carbon‐Bonded MgO Refractories Based on Recyclates

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
High‐temperature interactions between low‐sulfur Al‐killed Mn–B steel and MgO–C refractories (0 and 50 wt% recyclates) are studied via finger immersion tests (1600 °C). Surface‐active elements influence infiltration. MgO/CaS layer forms, along with spinel and calcium silicate.
