Emission-line Stars and Early-type Stars with Gaia
EAS Publications Series, 2010Gaia will provide accurate parallaxes, spectrophotometry and spectroscopy for hundreds of thousands of emission-line stars across the whole HR diagram. In preparation for the Gaia mission, we are developing algorithms to recognize and classify emission-line stars. A large collection of ground-based spectroscopic observations has been collected and will

Spectroscopic Observations of Emission-line Stars
Publications of the Astronomical Society of Australia, 1991AbstractIn this paper we present the results of spectroscopic observations for 34 emission-line stars (ELSs) in the Orion belt region, which were detected in an extensive survery. Spectral classification and the intensities of Hα and Hβ emission have revealed that the observed ELSs are probably T-Tauri type stars.

The contribution of stars to the AGN line emission
AIP Conference Proceedings, 1992It has been suggested that the presence of red giants in the vicinity of an active nucleus can contribute significantly to the line emission by the reprocessing of the continuum radiation onto the red giant’s surface or in the stellar wind that usually accompanies these stars. We present herein the line profiles and the corresponding transfer functions

The N III Emission Lines in the Of Stars
Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1973Recent work has lead to an improved understanding of the physical mechanisms which produce the NIH emission lines in Of stars. The present status of the problem is briefly reviewed in this paper.

Early-type Emission-line Stars
2007Wolf-Rayet (WR) stars owe its name to the discoverers, C. Wolf and G. Rayet. They are one of the most conspicuous stellar objects in spectral features, activities, and in the processes of stellar evolution. They are spectroscopically characterized by the following features.

Early-Type Emission-Line Stars
1982Early-type emission-line stars keep the continuous interest of the scientists. As it is believed the emission lines are formed in the extensive envelopes surrounding these stars. The various objects of this sort could be generally grouped into the following classes: a) the Of stars; b) the Wolf-Rayet stars; c) the Be-stars; d) the Shell stars; e) the B-
