LAMOST Medium-resolution Spectroscopic Survey of the Rosette Nebula
We report multifiber, medium-resolution spectroscopy of the Rosette Nebula with full spatial coverages, and present a table of the nebular parameters based on the spatially resolved measurements of emission lines.

THE CRAB NEBULA SUPER-FLARE IN 2011 APRIL: EXTREMELY FAST PARTICLE ACCELERATION AND GAMMA-RAY EMISSION [PDF]
We report on the extremely intense and fast gamma-ray flare above 100 MeV detected by AGILE from the Crab Nebula in mid-April 2011. This event is the fourth of a sequence of reported major gamma-ray flares produced by the Crab Nebula in the period 2007 ...

Explicit Methodologies for Normative Evaluation in Public Policy, as Applied to Carbon Budgets
ABSTRACT What could philosophical or justice perspectives contribute to climate (and other applied philosophy) policy discussions? This question is important for philosophers on government policy committees. This article identifies two novel concerns about such contexts (which I call ‘contingent selection’ and ‘committee deference’) and systematizes ...

The Ejecta Nebula Around the Wolf–Rayet Star WR 71
We present deep H α and [O iii ] images of the ejecta-rich nebulosity associated with the suspected runaway and binary Wolf–Rayet (WR) star WR 71 (HD 143414). In H α emission, the nebula appears as a crescent shaped, broken ring of clumpy emission some ${

PROPERTIES AND SPATIAL DISTRIBUTION OF DUST EMISSION IN THE CRAB NEBULA [PDF]
Recent infrared (IR) observations of freshly formed dust in supernova remnants have yielded significantly lower dust masses than predicted by theoretical models and measured from high-redshift observations.

Decisions Under Radical Uncertainty: The Role of Volitional Liminality in Radical Innovation
ABSTRACT Academic Summary Radical innovation management can be understood as an organizational practice that enacts distant futures, which are open‐ended and unknowable. Such radical innovation endeavors are thus characterized by radical uncertainty, where possible futures are not only quantitatively but qualitatively different from the present, and ...

Magnetic Fields in the Horsehead Nebula
We present the first polarized dust emission measurements of the Horsehead Nebula, obtained using the POL-2 polarimeter on the Submillimetre Common-User Bolometer Array 2 (SCUBA-2) camera on the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope.

VER J2227+608: A Hadronic PeVatron Pulsar Wind Nebula? [PDF]
We report the detection of GeV γ-ray emission from the very-high-energy γ-ray source VER J2227+608 associated with the “tail” region of supernova remnant (SNR) G106.3+2.7.

Petrography of phosphates in CI and CY carbonaceous chondrites
Abstract Phosphate minerals are significant carriers of volatiles (e.g., OH) and halogens in chondritic material; however, their origin in most groups of carbonaceous chondrites remains poorly characterized. We have determined the abundance, morphology, texture, and composition of phosphate grains in aqueously altered CI chondrites and in hydrated and ...
