Bremsstrahlung Spectrum in alpha Decay

open access: yes, 1999
Using our previous approach to electromagnetic emission during tunneling, an explicit, essentially classical, formula describing the bremsstrahlung spectrum in alpha decay is derived. The role of tunneling motion in photon emission is discussed.

Multimodal Characterization of Sn‐Bi Solder Alloy Solidification Using Synchrotron X‐Ray Microtomography and Energy Dispersive Diffraction

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Real‐time imaging and energy‐dispersive diffraction during solidification of Sn‐Bi alloy interconnect for electronic packaging applications are studied. Sn‐Bi solder alloys have generated significant interest in recent times due to their potential use in electronic packaging.

Anomalous Microwave Emission from Star Forming Regions

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2013
The evidence for microwave emission from spinning dust grains has been strengthened considerably by its detection in a number of discrete astrophysical objects associated with star formation.

Intensity Mapping with Carbon Monoxide Emission Lines and the Redshifted 21 cm Line [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We quantify the prospects for using emission lines from rotational transitions of the CO molecule to perform an `intensity mapping' observation at high redshift during the Epoch of Reionization (EoR).

Measurement of fluorescence emission spectrum of few strongly driven atoms using an optical nanofiber.

open access: yesOptics Express, 2010
We show that the fluorescence emission spectrum of few atoms can be measured by using an optical nanofiber combined with the optical heterodyne and photon correlation spectroscopy.

3D‐Printable Near‐Infrared‐Responsive Microscale Cantilever made of the Composite Consisting of Ceramic Particles and Graphene Flakes

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A near infrared‐responsive microscale cantilever is developed using a 3D‐printable composite based on photocurable resin consisting of sepiolite and graphene flakes. The material absorbs 1064 nm light, causing shape transformation with an average displacement of 1.3 mm in 1.7 s. Displacement is measured via video recording.

Multimode Adaptive Thermoregulation Enabled by Shape Morphing and Radiative Cooling Porous Polyurethane

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A shape‐morphing, porous polyurethane film combines passive radiative cooling with folding to deliver multilevel heating‐and‐cooling control. High solar reflectance and midinfrared emissivity keep surfaces up to 3.5 °C cooler in direct sunlight, while photothermal triggering folds the film to absorb solar heat.

Ultrafast Resonant Photon Emission from a Molecule Driven by a Strong Coherent Field in Terms of Complex Spectral Analysis

open access: yesPhysics
In this study, we investigate the time–frequency-resolved resonant photon emission from a molecular vibrational oscillator driven by a monochromatic coherent external field.

Pulsar Emission Spectrum

open access: yes, 2013
Emission spectrum is calculated for a weak axisymmetric pulsar. Also calculated are the observed spectrum, efficiency, and the observed efficiency. The underlying flow of electrons and positrons turns out to be curiously intricate.
