Anomalous Microwave Emission from Star Forming Regions

open access: yesAdvances in Astronomy, 2013
The evidence for microwave emission from spinning dust grains has been strengthened considerably by its detection in a number of discrete astrophysical objects associated with star formation.

On fermionic vacuum energy [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2001
We quantitatively compute the rate and spectrum of spontaneous photon emissions, caused by the vacuum decaying when an external magnetic field is introduced. The spectrum of spontaneous photon emissions shows the energy-momentum-dependency in the low-energy region and in the high energy region, is respectively similar to the Rayleigh-Jeans part and the

Direct Natural and Artificial Aging of Aluminum Alloy AlSi10Mg After Laser Powder‐Bed Fusion

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Laser powder‐bed fusion of metals aluminum alloy AlSi10Mg has been directly aged. Artificial aging after natural aging is considered. The hardening potential is high for the top part of the samples as well as after short natural aging. The hardening potential is substantially reduced for the bottom part of the samples, as well as after natural aging of

EMISSION OF COMPOSITE PARTICLES IN A CONSTANT ELECTRIC FIELD

open access: yesEast European Journal of Physics, 2015
The spectrum of emission of a composite particle with one degree of freedom in a constant electric field is obtained in the paper. The effectiveness of emission of such particle is compared with the structureless particle having the same parameters.

Efficient and Scalable Radiative Cooling for Photovoltaics Using Solution‐Processable and Solar‐Transparent Mesoporous Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

A Novel Protein‐Polysaccharide Oral Nanoemulsion Targeting Activated Hepatic Stellate Cells to Enhance the Therapeutic Effect of Pirfenidone on Fibrosis After Transarterial Chemoembolization for Liver Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) may aggravate liver fibrosis. In this study, a novel oral targeting nanoemulsion is fabricated to enhance the therapeutic effect of antifibrotic drug‐pirfenidone (PFD) on fibrosis after TACE. Studies have shown that PFD nanoemulsion can enhance the oral liver targeting effect of PFD, and effectively improve the ...

Prompt GeV emission in the synchrotron self-Compton model for Gamma-Ray Bursts [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
The detection in 10 bursts of an optical counterpart emission (i.e. during the prompt GRB phase) that is 10-10000 brighter than the extrapolation of the burst spectrum to optical frequencies suggests a synchrotron self-Compton origin for the GRB emission, synchrotron producing the optical counterpart emission.
