Effect of emission uniformity on performance of field emission displays
IVMC '95. Eighth International Vacuum Microelectronics Conference. Technical Digest (Cat. No.TH8012), 2002A VGA field emission display with gated field emitters is simulated on a computer using a spreadsheet program. By using Fowler-Nordheim theory and statistical analysis, we studied how emission uniformity of field emitters affected field emission display performances, such as brightness variation, contrast ratio, gray scalability and lifetime.
