Is uniform electron emission possible at low macroscopic fields ?

IVMC 2001. Proceedings of the 14th International Vacuum Microelectronics Conference (Cat. No.01TH8586), 2002
Summary form only given. For existing thin-film electron emitters (except bulk diamond), low-macroscopic-field (LMF) emission occurs primarily because nanostructure in the film generates local field enhancement (by a factor g) at the vacuum interface, allowing electron tunnelling.

Emissions reduction from wood pellet stoves by uniform feeding

Renewable Energy
The instantaneous fuel-to-air ratio in pellet stoves may vary because of the feeding mechanism. The pellet feed flow rate variability of a standard screw feeder was quantitatively assessed with real-time measurements. Temporary excess or deficit of pellets commonly occur. The variability can be significantly reduced with a new feeder, by approx.

Optimising Blackbody Cavity Shape for Spatially Uniform Integrated Emissivity

International Journal of Thermophysics, 2016
The emissivity of a blackbody cavity, as seen by a radiation thermometer viewing the cavity, depends on both the field of view of the thermometer and the distribution of local effective emissivity values within the field of view. For cylindro-conical cavities, the local effective emissivity generally attains a maximum value at the apex of the cone and ...
