An evaluation of the intrinsic emittance of a field emitter

Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology B: Microelectronics and Nanometer Structures Processing, Measurement, and Phenomena, 1996
The beam quality of an idealized two-dimensional field emitter is evaluated. Under the assumption that the space-charge effects are negligible, a scaling law is constructed for the intrinsic emittance of an isolated emitter. This scaling law takes into account the Fowler–Nordheim (F–N) emission law and the effects of local field enhancement.

Slice emittance and projected emittance

Chinese Physics B, 2008
This paper presents an analytical description for the growth of the projected emittance (here just referred to the transverse emittance) based on the concept of the slice emittance in an RF photoinjector. In the RF photoinjector, the slice emittance undergoes small changes, but the projected emittance changes significantly even in the drift space after

Combined effects of emitter–emitter and emitter–plasmonic surface separations dictate photoluminescence enhancement in a plasmonic field

Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2022
The landscape of plasmon enhanced photoluminescence of quantum dots (QDs) was mapped by varying its distance from Au nanoparticles and QD–QD separations. The pivotal role of emitter–emitter interactions on metal enhanced fluorescence is established.

Functional electrospray emitters

The Analyst, 2009
Electrospray ionisation (ESI) is a soft technique used in mass spectrometry (MS) analysis able to introduce a wide variety of analytes in the gas phase. Briefly, it consists in the application of a high-voltage to a solution to spray it through a small orifice.

Metasurfaces for Molecular Emitter

2022 Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics Pacific Rim (CLEO-PR), 2022
We demonstrate extraordinarily spectrally selective narrowband mid-infrared radiation absorbance and thermal emittance with the strong surface enhancement of molecular infrared absorption (SEIRA) using mid-midinfrared metasurfaces. This was achieved by harnessing mode coupling between a plasmonic metal-insulator-metal (MIM) metasurface and molecular ...

The emitter-injection efficiency and emitter effective surface-recombination velocity in polysilicon emitter transistors

Canadian Journal of Physics, 1985
Measurements of the emitter-injection efficiency and calculations of the emitter effective surface-recombination velocity are reported for polysilicon emitter transistors, i.e., bipolar transistors with a polysilicon–insulator tunnel-junction contact to the emitter.

Triplet emitters versus TADF emitters in OLEDs: A comparative study

Polyhedron, 2018
Abstract The quest for highly efficient electroluminescent materials that can be used in organic light emitting diodes (OLEDs) has been attracting continuously attention. OLEDs are becoming a considerable market for specialist manufacturer, as a consequence of the growing demand for efficient solution in lighting and displays.
