Emotional attachment to objects mediates the relationship between loneliness and hoarding symptoms
Problems with emotional attachment to objects (i.e., object attachment) are a key component of hoarding disorder (HD) in the cognitive-behavioral model of HD.

A Central Somatic Transmission Mediates Proprioceptive Facilitation of Muscle Pain
Zhang et al. uncover a novel central mechanism for persistent muscle pain, in which TRPA1 sensitization in MeV proprioceptive neurons enhances somatic secretion. This, in turn, disinhibits descending pain control from neighboring noradrenergic locus coeruleus neurons via local GABAergic circuits, thereby promoting inflammatory muscle pain.

Early attachment and emotional regulation [PDF]
In this paper we explore the considerations of supporters of the attachment theory relating to the importance of closeness and acceptance by parents for the formation of healthy mechanisms of emotional regulation. Proponents of this theory emphasize the importance of forming positive internal "working models" of self and others, the role of which is to

Can we identify emotion over-regulation in infancy? Associations with avoidant attachment, dyadic emotional interaction and temperament [PDF]
Emotion over-regulation in infancy has seldom been the focus of empirical research. This study analysed the specificities of overregulation when compared with under-regulation (maladaptive) and adaptive regulation by testing its association with ...

A Tac1‐Expressing Brainstem Pathway Underlies the Pathogenesis of Trigeminal Neuralgia
A critical TG‐Sp5CTac1‐PBNTac1 pathway drives trigeminal neuropathic pain (TNP). Tac1‐expressing parabrachial nucleus (PBNTac1) neurons exhibit heightened responses to innocuous stimuli in TNP, and chemogenetic inhibition of these neurons effectively prevents TNP development.

mGluR5 in ECCCK to BLA Circuit Modulates Depressive‐Like Phenotypes through CCK Signaling
Dysregulation of mGluR5 and CCK signaling contributes to major depressive disorder, yet circuit‐level mechanisms remain unclear. Here, the ECCCK→BLA pathway is identified as a critical regulator of affective behavior. mGluR5 modulates synaptic function and CCK signaling within this circuit, controlling stress susceptibility and depressive‐like states ...
