The Microbiota Shapes Central Nervous System Myelination in Early Life

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Gut microbiota shapes brain development by regulating myelination and glial cell maturation in early life. Using germ‐free (GF) mice and zebrafish, this study reveals sex‐ and age‐dependent effects on myelin growth, integrity, and related gene expression.

Examining the moderating effect of alexithymia on the relationship between emotional schemas and sexual dysfunctional beliefs in women and men with diabetes

open access: yesمجله علوم روانشناختی, 2017
Since sexual relationship itself is an emotional excitement, one must study it in the context of emotions. Therefore, learning about the manner in which the two important psychological variables of alexithymia and emotional schemas relate and influence ...

A Wireless, Battery‐Free Artificial Throat Patch with Deep Learning for Emotional Speech Recognition

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this work, Xu and co‐workers develop a wireless, battery‐free artificial throat patch system (ATPS) consisting of a carbon nanotube‐based thin‐film strain sensor and a miniaturized flexible printed circuit board, to enable real‐time sensing of throat signals.

A Non‐Mitophagy Activity of BNIP3L/NIX in Amygdala Glutamatergic Neurons is Essential for Contextual Fear Memory Formation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Contextual fear conditioning induces BNIP3L‐dependent mitochondrial fission in glutamatergic neurons of the BLA, independently of mitophagy. Loss of BNIP3L elevates Drp1Ser637 phosphorylation, thereby suppressing mitochondrial fission, compromising ATP production, and attenuating excitatory synaptic transmission.

Early adaptive schemas, emotional regulation, and cognitive flexibility in eating disorders: subtype specific predictors of eating disorder symptoms using hierarchical linear regression

open access: yesEating and Weight Disorders
Understanding how early adaptive schemas, cognitive flexibility, and emotional regulation influence eating disorder (ED) symptoms, and whether this differs across diagnostic subtypes is critical to optimising treatment. The current study investigated the

A Tangentially Sensitive Tactile Sensor Reveals the Stick‐Slip Mechanism and Enhances Robotic Tactile Sensing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An ultralight, multilayer anisotropic tactile sensor—an artificial Pacinian corpuscle—exhibits ultrahigh tangential sensitivity (1022 kPa−1) and spatiotemporal sensing. It discriminates static, sliding, and rolling contacts, detects incipient stick–slip via high‑frequency signatures, and enhances robotic touch (100%/98.18% accuracy for active/passive ...
