Transcriptomic-Based Quantification of the Epithelial-Hybrid-Mesenchymal Spectrum across Biological Contexts

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2021
Epithelial-mesenchymal plasticity (EMP) underlies embryonic development, wound healing, and cancer metastasis and fibrosis. Cancer cells exhibiting EMP often have more aggressive behavior, characterized by drug resistance, and tumor-initiating and immuno-

MIDDLE-LATE MIOCENE TIDAL-RELATED DEPOSITS OF THE BINIO FORMATION: THE SEDIMENTARY AND STRATIGRAPHIC RECORDS DURING INVERSION OF THE CENTRAL SUMATRA BASIN, INDONESIA

open access: yesRudarsko-geološko-naftni Zbornik
The distribution of tidal-related deposits can be controlled by structural growth. This structural growth can be reflected, for example, by inversion structures in a back-arc basin.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

The Modelling Investigation of Wiikit Ore as Radioactive Waste Matrices by Studying Behavior of its U and Th Atoms [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای, 2017
This research is dedicated to modeling  the wiikit uranium ore for HLW radioactive waste storing. At first, during X-ray Crystallography it was determined that wiikit has metamict structure. Then SEM revealed the U phase and different mineral phases that

Electrocapillary Modulated Interfacial Tension Amplifies Liquid Metal Transduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study presented an electrocapillary‐enhanced magnetohydrodynamic pumping strategy that harnesses the Lorentz force and interfacial tension modulation of liquid metal droplets to achieve amplified fluidic power. The system enabled low‐voltage, self‐oscillating fluidic transduction with enhanced pressure and flow generation, supporting compact ...

Introducing PNEUMA: A Hybrid Soft Pneumatic Fabric Bidirectional Actuation Module for Wearable Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This study presents a soft pneumatic fabric bidirectional actuation module (PNEUMA) capable of generating high torque in both bending directions within a single integrated architecture. PNEUMA achieves up to 50 Nm with reduced inflation volume and a lightweight design.

A Single‐Cell Transcriptomic Atlas of the Ovine Rumen Microbiome Characterizes Lineage‐Specific Metabolic Shifts Associated with Host Heat Tolerance

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An optimized single‐cell transcriptomic framework profiles over 60 000 cells to map the ovine rumen microbiome, partitioning the ecosystem into seven cross‐species functional clusters. In heat‐resistant hosts, a lineage‐specific metabolic shift in Anaerovibrio lipolyticus toward a highly glycolytic phenotype contributes to a “nutritional sparing ...

MXene‐Derived Highly Oriented TiN Enables Ta3N5 Photoanodes for Transmission‐Mode Bias‐Free Solar Water Splitting

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This work reports 2D MXene‐derived TiN thin films with (111)‐preferred orientation for transparent Ta3N5 photoanodes, demonstrating effective electron transfer behavior. All‐nitride electron‐collection architecture based on MXene‐derived TiN and n‐GaN resolves a long‐standing materials bottleneck between photocarrier transport and light transmission in
