Potential and availability of market research data for empirical social and economic research [PDF]

open access: yes
The potential of market research data for secondary analyses lays mainly in the fields of consumer behaviour, consumption patterns and media usage. Their availability for empirical social and economic research depends on the professional rules as well as

Higher‐Order Temporal Dynamics in Complementary Charge Trap Memristor for High‐Dimensional Reservoir Computing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A complementary charge‐trap memristor (CoCTM) featuring a unique current transient with tunable overshoot‐relaxation dynamics is introduced for high‐resolution reservoir computing. By leveraging higher‐order temporal dynamics from engineered trapping layers, the device generates multiple output states from a single input, forming rich, high‐dimensional

Explanations of pedophilia: Review of empirical research [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
This article reviews empirical research to discover what support exists for theories that attempt to explain why adults become sexually interested in and involved with immature children.

Anisotropic Shear Properties of Organic Interfaces in Bio‐composite Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A novel cantilever design enables direct probing of shear properties at single organic interfaces within biocomposite prismatic ultrastructures. By decoupling lateral and torsional shear responses, the method reveals isotropic behavior in Atrina vexillum and pronounced anisotropy in Unio pictorum.

Behavioral entrainment to rhythmic auditory stimulation can be modulated by tACS depending on the electrical stimulation field properties

open access: yeseLife
Synchronization between auditory stimuli and brain rhythms is beneficial for perception. In principle, auditory perception could be improved by facilitating neural entrainment to sounds via brain stimulation. However, high inter-individual variability of

Photoresponsive Gas‐Permeable Membranes: Fundamentals, Innovations, and Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Photoresponsive gas‐permeable membranes can be potentially used for smart packing, carbon capture, hydrogen purification, and optical gas valves due to their remote and non‐contact activation, precise spatial and temporal control, and reversible switching capabilities.
