Fine‐Tuning NIR‐Absorbing BODIPYs for Photoacoustic Detection of Hypochlorous Ion (OCl−)

High selectivity for hypochlorous ion over other competing reactive oxygen species was achieved by optimizing different regioisomers of conjugation‐extended, near‐infrared‐absorbing BODIPYs for photoacoustic imaging.
