Z80 in-circuit emulator [PDF]

open access: yes, 1987
An in-circuit emulator has become a necessary tool for software and hardware development. Unfortunately the cost of an Emulator, such as the Hewlett Packard 64000/6809, can exceed $30,000.

Reservoir‐Driven Neuromorphic Computing Based on Composite Rare‐Earth/Transition Metal Oxide Memristor

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A defect‐engineered Ag/Gd2O3:Nb2O5/Pt rare earth composite oxide memristor enables stable multilevel reservoir states through pulse driven conductance modulation. Experimentally measured device responses are incorporated into a device aware reservoir computing framework for CIFAR‐100 image classification, highlighting the potential of rare earth ...

CFD-quality nowcasting for urban air mobility with a deep learning-based emulator

open access: yesEnvironmental Research Letters
Urban air mobility (UAM) aircraft typically operate at altitudes of 1000–2000 feet over complex urban terrains, where airflow interactions with structures create dynamic conditions requiring precise, real-time meteorological forecasts.

2D Skeletal Muscle Thin Film Actuators Enhance Efficiency of Biohybrid Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
2D skeletal muscle thin film actuators generate millinewton‐scale forces and millimeter‐scale strokes while remaining functional for over 30 days. Their force density is 20‐fold higher than 3D skeletal muscle actuators, enabling multi‐fin robots with tunable speed and multidirectional steering.

ATP‐Mediated Bidirectional Communication Between Natural and Artificial Cells for Controlled Bioreactions

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Establishment of bidirectional communication behavior between natural and artificial cells. The first type of communication from natural dendritic cells to artificial polymeric cells was achieved via ATP release after cell lysis. The released ATP was taken up via gated UV‐controlled permeability increase of the polymeric membrane for performing ...

Techno-Economic Viability of Fuel Cell Emulator Toward Sustainable Energy Systems: A Survey

open access: yesIEEE Access
This paper reviews the enhancement and implementation of a Fuel Cell (FC) emulator design to mimic the performance characteristics of a real FC. Unlike conventional methods, which require expensive and complex FC systems, the emulators are worthwhile ...

Spatially Regulated Silicon Clusters in Trimodal Composite Anodes for High‐Energy Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A trimodal anode architecture spatially regulates silicon clusters within confined interstitial environments formed by graphite and contorted hexabenzocoronene. This confinement suppresses silicon aggregation and localized stress while enabling efficient Li‐ion transport, achieving high‐capacity, stable lithium‐ion batteries.

Electrically Induced Phase Transition and Synaptic Functionality in MoTe2/Graphene Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An electrically induced reversible 2H ↔ 1T′ phase transition is demonstrated in a vertical Au/Ti/MoTe2/graphene memristor with a laterally contacted graphene electrode. Resistive switching proceeds through a compositionally invariant amorphous/2H ↔ amorphous/1T′ transformation, in which a self‐formed amorphous MoTe2 interfacial region is proposed to ...
