Bifenthrin Under Scrutiny: Revisiting Toxicological Evidence Amid Regulatory Gaps

open access: yesJournal of Applied Toxicology, Volume 46, Issue 1, Page 61-77, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Despite growing health concerns, bifenthrin (BF) remains widely used for controlling agricultural and residential pests. However, different perspectives on its toxicological profile and regulatory framework warrant a revisit and update on BF regulation towards a robust risk‐safety assessment.

Enantio‐ and Diastereoselective Rh(I)‐Catalyzed Defluorinative Arylation of Pentafluoroethyl Alkenes to Access Fluoroalkenes Featuring a Unique F‐ and CF3‐Substituted sp2‐Carbon†

open access: yesChinese Journal of Chemistry, Volume 43, Issue 24, Page 3535-3542, 15 December 2025.
A highly enantio‐ and diastereoselective rhodium(I)‐catalyzed defluorinative arylation of pentafluoroethyl alkenes has been developed. Both 1,1‐ and 1,2‐disubstituted alkenes were compatible leading to tetra‐ and trisubstituted fluoroalkenes, respectively, in excellent Z/E selectivities.

Synthesis of Novel BINOL Analogs: 3,3′‐Dicarbonyl‐1,1′‐binaphthyl‐4,4′‐diols as Precursors to the Uncharted 5,5′‐Binaphtho[2,1‐d]isoxazole

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, Volume 28, Issue 45, December 10, 2025.
The parent 5,5′‐binaphtho[2,1‐d]isoxazole and its 3,3′‐dimethyl and 3,3′‐diphenyl derivatives are synthesized via condensation of the respective dicarbonyl compounds with hydroxylamine, followed by cyclodehydration of the resulting dioximes. The dicarbonyl precursors are obtained through 4‐ or 6‐step sequences from 1‐naphthol or 1‐naphthaldehyde ...

Cu2O/Cu Chiral Catalysts for Highly Selective Solar‐Assisted CO2‐to‐CO Electroreduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 50, December 9, 2025.
To address the poor target‐product selectivity of the eCO2RR, breakthrough approaches based on the chiral‐induced spin selectivity phenomenon enhance the Faradaic efficiency (FE) for target hydrocarbons, such as CO. To induce this spin polarization strategy in Cu2O/Cu catalysts, it is proposed using amine‐based intermediate organic molecules with ...
