Gold catalysts direct anthranil/diynamide reactions: PPh3AuCl/AgNTf2 forms spiro azacycles (indole intermediate confirmed), while P(t‐Bu)2(o‐biphenyl)AuCl/AgNTf2 yields indene carboximidamides via a proposed mechanism. Gold‐catalyzed reactions between anthranils and diynamides have been investigated, and their reaction chemoselectivity relies on the ...

Indole Synthesis via Allenyl Ester; Enantioselective Total Synthesis of Geissoschizoline
An indole synthesis via an allenyl ester intermediate at ambient temperature has been developed. The mild reaction conditions allow the use of a broad range of substrates. Notably, the utility of this approach is demonstrated through the asymmetric total synthesis of geissoschizoline, a Strychnos‐type monoterpenoid indole alkaloid.

The Azidofunctionalization of Alkenes
The azidofunctionalization of alkenes offers a powerful strategy for synthesizing nitrogen‐containing compounds by installing both an azide and a second functional group in one step. This approach, employing photoredox catalysis, transition metals, and radical methods, is efficient, selective, and versatile, with applications in pharmaceuticals and ...

Rewriting Alkene Frameworks: A Practical Strategy for Nitrogen Incorporation
Morandi and team developed a metal‐free method to insert nitrogen into unactivated alkenes, forming amidines and nitriles via a transient aza‐allenium intermediate. Using mild, open‐flask conditions, the process delivers high yields and broad functional group tolerance.

Grafted Disulfide‐Linked Linear Polymers for Heterogeneous Thiyl Radical Photocatalysis
Grafting a linear disulfide‐bridged polymer to a supporting polymer backbone achieved heterogeneous thiyl radical photocatalysis. The polyvinyl backbone ensures recyclability while enabling thiyl radical generation for organic transformations. Achieving ∼99% conversion for diarylalkyne photooxidation, the design strategy combines robustness, solubility,
